Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claims 9 and 17 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Liu et al. (CN 113986037; US 2024/037356). PNG media_image1.png 457 608 media_image1.png Greyscale (Claim 9) Liu et al. teach a display panel, comprising: a substrate (20) comprising a display region, wherein the display region comprises a deformation sub-region (02) and a normal sub-region (01); a light-emitting layer (paragraph 84) located at one side (top side) of the substrate opposite to the display region; and a functional layer (30) located at a side (rear side) of the substrate away from the light- emitting layer and comprising a first functional part (302) arranged opposite to the deformation sub-region (02) and a second functional part (301) arranged opposite to the normal sub-region (01); wherein an elastic modulus of the first functional part (302) is greater than that of the second functional part (301, paragraphs 71, 72). (Claim 17) Liu et al. teach wherein the first functional part (301) defines a first through hole (paragraph 74). Allowable Subject Matter Claims 10 – 16 and 18 – 20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. Claims 1 – 8 are allowable, because prior art does not teach: (Claim 1) wherein the first functional part comprises a part of the first functional layer corresponding to the deformation sub-region, and the second functional layer that are arranged in a laminated manner; and wherein the first functional layer comprises at least one of copper or aluminum, and the second functional layer comprises at least one of stainless steel and carbon fiber. (Claim 8) wherein the second functional part comprises a part of the first functional layer corresponding to the normal sub-region, and the second functional layer that are arranged in a laminated manner; and wherein the first functional layer comprises at least one of copper or aluminum, and the second functional layer comprises at least one of stainless steel and carbon fiber. Conclusion Prior art made of record and not relied upon, considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure are listed in PTO – 892 Form.
