Office Action

§112
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . DETAILED ACTION STATUS OF THE CLAIMS: Claims 1-15 and 20-23 are pending in this application. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112, 2nd paragraph The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. Claims 1-15 and 20-23 (including claims dependent thereon and/or claims that relate back to a rejected claims) are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention. Regarding claims1, 11 and 15-16, the claims are indefinite because the claims recite “C1-C10 alkenyl” and “C1-C10 alkynyl” and an alkenyl or alkynyl requires at least two carbons. Appropriate correction is required. EXAMINER NOTES A telephone call was made to Applicant on August 13, 2026 to discuss the rejection under 35 U.S.C. 112, second paragraph issues in the application and to have Applicant submit a Supplemental Amendment to allow the application but Examiner could not reach the Applicant’s representative. Conclusion Claims 1-15 and 20-23 are pending. Claims 1-15 and 20-23 are rejected. No claims are allowed.
