CTNF 18/016,586 CTNF 79642 DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status 07-03-aia AIA 15-10-aia The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA. Priority 02-26 AIA Receipt is acknowledged of certified copies of papers required by 37 CFR 1.55. Information Disclosure Statement The information disclosure statement (IDS) submitted on 01/17/2023 was is in compliance with the provisions of 37 CFR 1.97. Accordingly, the information disclosure statement is being considered by the examiner. Drawings 06-22-06 AIA The drawings are objected to as failing to comply with 37 CFR 1.84(p)(5) because they do not include the following reference sign(s) mentioned in the description: a plurality of bobbins 60 . Corrected drawing sheets in compliance with 37 CFR 1.121(d) are required in reply to the Office action to avoid abandonment of the application. Any amended replacement drawing sheet should include all of the figures appearing on the immediate prior version of the sheet, even if only one figure is being amended. Each drawing sheet submitted after the filing date of an application must be labeled in the top margin as either “Replacement Sheet” or “New Sheet” pursuant to 37 CFR 1.121(d). If the changes are not accepted by the examiner, the applicant will be notified and informed of any required corrective action in the next Office action. The objection to the drawings will not be held in abeyance. 06-36 AIA The drawings are objected to under 37 CFR 1.83(a). The drawings must show every feature of the invention specified in the claims. Therefore, the “the base plates are stacked in a vertical direction inside the low-temperature container for storing the cryogenic fluid” (Claim 13) must be shown or the feature(s) canceled from the claim(s). No new matter should be entered. Corrected drawing sheets in compliance with 37 CFR 1.121(d) are required in reply to the Office action to avoid abandonment of the application. Any amended replacement drawing sheet should include all of the figures appearing on the immediate prior version of the sheet, even if only one figure is being amended. The figure or figure number of an amended drawing should not be labeled as “amended.” If a drawing figure is to be canceled, the appropriate figure must be removed from the replacement sheet, and where necessary, the remaining figures must be renumbered and appropriate changes made to the brief description of the several views of the drawings for consistency. Additional replacement sheets may be necessary to show the renumbering of the remaining figures. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 07-30-02 AIA The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. 07-34-01 Claims 1-15 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention. 07-34-14 AIA Claim s 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph, as being incomplete for omitting essential structural cooperative relationships of elements, such omission amounting to a gap between the necessary structural connections. See MPEP § 2172.01. The omitted structural cooperative relationships are: between the base plate and the low-temperature container. The limitation “a base plate stacked inside a low-temperature container for storing low-temperature fluid therein” is unclear. What is a base plate stacked with in the low-temperature container, other components or parts? For Examination purposes, this limitation will be interpreted as “a plurality of base plates stacked inside a low-temperature container for storing low-temperature fluid therein”. Additionally, further recitation of the base plate requires further clarified to identify an individual base plate or plural base plates . Claims 2-15 inherit the 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph, deficiency from parent claim 1 . 07-34-05 AIA Claim 13 recites the limitation " the base plates " in line 3 . There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim. Claim Objections 07-29-01 AIA Claim 14 is objected to because of the following informalities: line 1 recites “wherein circular openings” instead of “wherein the circular openings” to properly refer to the previously defined circular openings of parent claim 1 . Appropriate correction is required. Allowable Subject Matter 07-43-01 AIA Claim s 1-15 would be allowable if rewritten or amended to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action. 13-03-01 AIA The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter: A bobbin structure for winding a superconducting wire rod, the bobbin structure comprising: a plurality of base plates stacked inside a low-temperature container for storing low-temperature fluid therein; each base plate comprising a pair of circular openings respectively defined at left and right sides of the base plate; and a pair of protruding structures respectively extending from circumferential portions of the circular openings on the left and right sides of a central portion of the base plate for the winding of the superconducting wire rod, wherein bottom surfaces of the pair of protruding structures are coupled to the base plate, wherein each protruding structure includes: an arc-shaped first extension extending along the circumferential portion of each circular opening from a position adjacent to the central portion of the base plate; and an arc-shaped second extension extending from the first extension along another circumferential portion located radially outward of the circumferential portion of each circular opening. In particular, the prior art of record does not disclose nor suggest the claimed protruding structure on the bobbin .
