Acknowledgment is made of applicant's claim for foreign priority based on Korean Application KR10-2022-0123598 dated 09/28/2022 and applicant has filed a certified copy of this Korean application on 03/30/2023.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102 (a)(1) as being anticipated by Nammoto (US 20130183129 A1).
Regarding claim 1, Nammoto teaches (reproduced and annotated Figs. below) a gripper comprising: a body part (40-45); a finger base part coupled to the body part to be rotatable, the finger base part comprising a first finger base part (10B) and a second finger base part (10C) configured such that when the first finger base part is rotated in a first direction with respect to the body part, the second finger base part is provided to be rotatable in a second direction opposite the first direction with respect to the body part;

and a finger part (10A) coupled to a first side of the body part or the finger base part to be reciprocal (finger 10A coupled to joint 46 and rotationally reciprocates relative to the body part).

Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102 (a)(1) as being anticipated by Kazushiro (JP 7194946 B2).
Regarding claim 1, Kazushiro teaches (reproduced and annotated Figs. below) a gripper comprising: a body part (50); a finger base part coupled to the body part to be rotatable, the finger base part comprising a first finger base part and a second finger base part configured such that when the first finger base part is rotated in a first direction with respect to the body part (compare Fig. 4 and 6 below), the second finger base part is provided to be rotatable in a second direction opposite the first direction with respect to the body part (compare Fig. 4 and 6 below); and a finger part coupled to a first side of the body part or the finger base part to be reciprocal (see D1, D2).

Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 2-20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
