DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status:
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Objections
Claim 1 is objected to because of the following informalities: “and-from” in ll. 16 should be rewritten to be – and from --, and will be interpreted accordingly. Appropriate correction is required.
Claim 22 is objected to because of the following informalities: “serial to” in ll. 3 should be rewritten to be -- series with--, and will be interpreted accordingly. Appropriate correction is required.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
Claims 3, 5-7, 21-22 and 24 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor, or for pre-AIA the applicant regards as the invention.
Regarding Claim 3, the limitation “the quick connectors” is indefinite, in context, since it cannot be discerned what specific quick connectors are being referred to in Claim 3. Claim 1 proffers two pairs of quick connectors, wherein it is unclear if the quick connectors of Claim 3 are new or referring to a previously put forth pair of connectors. Further clarification is required.
Regarding Claim 5, the limitation “system of claim 14” refers to a currently withdrawn and subsequent Claim. For Examination purposes and in accordance with the specification and drawings, “system of claim 14” will be interpreted as – system of claim 1--.
Regarding Claim 6, the limitation “system of claim 54” does not refer to a current claim. For Examination purposes and in accordance with the specification and drawings, “system of claim 54” will be interpreted as – system of claim 5--.
Regarding Claim 7, the limitation “system of claim 54” does not refer to a current claim. For Examination purposes and in accordance with the specification and drawings, “system of claim 54” will be interpreted as – system of claim 5--.
Regarding Claim 21, the limitation “redundant quick connectors” in ll. 1 is indefinite, in context, since it cannot be discerned in what manner are the quick connectors redundant or rather are the quick connectors of Claim 21 different from the quick connectors put forth in Claim 1. Further clarification is required.
Claim 22 recites the limitation "the cool distribution unit " in ll. 2. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
Regarding Claim 24, the limitation “the effective power delivered to the coolant” is indefinite, in context, since it cannot be discerned what the effective power is referring to. Further clarification is required.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 1-2, 9-13, 17-20, 23 and 25 allowed.
Conclusion
Applicant's amendment necessitated the new ground(s) of rejection presented in this Office action. Accordingly, THIS ACTION IS MADE FINAL. See MPEP § 706.07(a). Applicant is reminded of the extension of time policy as set forth in 37 CFR 1.136(a).
