In summary, claims 1-19 are pending in this application. Applicant’s amendments have necessitated the new grounds of rejection set forth herein; according, this action is made final.

Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 103
Applicant's arguments with respect to independent claims have been considered but are moot because the rejection has been modified to address the newly added limitations. Examiner now relies on the reference Zhong and Hively.

Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 103
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.

Regarding independent claim 1, Guan teaches a computer-implemented method for use in processing image data associated with fields ([0110] At block 305, the agricultural intelligence computer system 130 is configured or programmed to implement agronomic data preprocessing of field data received from one or more data sources. The field data received from one or more data sources may be preprocessed for the purpose of removing noise and distorting effects within the agronomic data including measured outliers that would bias received field data values. Embodiments of agronomic data preprocessing may include, but are not limited to, removing data values commonly associated with outlier data values, specific measured data points that are known to unnecessarily skew other data values, data smoothing techniques used to remove or reduce additive or multiplicative effects from noise, and other filtering or data derivation techniques used to provide clear distinctions between positive and negative data inputs.”), the method comprising:

In the same field of endeavor, She teaches accessing, by a computing device, an image of one or more fields, the image including multiple pixels, each of the pixels including a value for each of multiple bands ( see at least [0115] At step 702, images of agronomic fields produced using one or more frequency bands are received. The images of the agronomic field may be produced by a satellite configured to capture images in a plurality of frequency bands. For example, the SENTINEL-2 satellite operated by the EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY produces images in a plurality of frequency bands including a red frequency band, a blue frequency band, a green frequency band, a near infrared frequency band, and a water vapor frequency band. [0116] The agricultural intelligence computer system may receive a plurality of sets of images directly or indirectly from the satellite where each set of images comprises an image in each frequency band corresponding to a same location. The system may receive any number of the above described frequency bands and/or different frequency bands for use in detecting cloud and cloud shadow in an image. The data may be received as a series of pixel values for images of each frequency band, the pixel values corresponding to pixel locations. In an embodiment, each image in a set of images is of a same size with pixels corresponding to overlapping locations. For instance, the Nth pixel of the red frequency band image of an agronomic field may correspond to the Nth pixel of the blue frequency band image of the agronomic field in the same set as the red frequency band image. The data may indicate, for each pixel of the images in a set of images, whether the pixel is a non-cloud pixel, a cloud pixel, or a cloud shadow pixel. Therefore, it would have been obvious to one of ordinary skill in the art before the effective filling date of the claimed invention to modify the computer-implemented method of Guan with including identifying pixel value for each of multiple bands as seen in She because this modification would indicate, for each pixel of the images in a set of images, whether the pixel is a non-cloud pixel, a cloud pixel, or a cloud shadow pixel ([0117] of She) Both Guan and She are understood to be silent on the remaining limitations of claim 1.
In the same field of endeavor, Zhong teaches generating a map of tillage for the one or more fields, using the at least one value for each of the pixels of the image, the map of tillage that is generated indicating both a location of a tillage and an intensity of the tillage for one or more segments of the one of more fields (see at least [0137] FIG. 7 depicts example yield maps generated from yield values and location values corresponding to a particular field. FIG. 7 contains yield map 702, yield map 704, and yield map 706. Each of the yield maps of FIG. 7 is generated to represent crop yields at physical locations across a particular field. [0138] The location of each pixel of the yield maps in FIG. 7 corresponds to a physical location on the particular field. For example, each pixel may represent a ten meter by ten meter region. Locations corresponding to each pixel may be identified through latitude and longitude and then translated to pixel location values where each pixel location value represents a number of pixels between the pixel location and both the side edge and bottom edge of the pixel map. Thus, a pixel with a location value of (6:3) may be six pixels from the left side of the pixel map and three pixels from the bottom of the pixel map. In an example where each pixel represents a ten meter by ten meter region, the pixel with a location value of (6:3) may correspond to a physical location that is 50-60 meters from the lowest longitudinal coordinate of the region depicted by the pixel map and 20-30 meters from the lowest latitudinal coordinate. [0139] The intensity of each pixel of the yield maps in FIG. 7 corresponds to an agronomic yield of a crop at the location of the pixel. For example, agronomic yield may be measured in pounds per acre for each location corresponding to a pixel. The agronomic yield for each location corresponding to a pixel may then be converted to a color or shade for the pixel. In FIG. 7, the pixels range in color from green to red with values between zero and one. The agronomic yields may be converted to match these values, such as by dividing each agronomic yield value by the maximum value of the agronomic yield for the entire field. Additional methods of converting yield values to pixel values may include subtracting each yield value by the minimum measured yield value for the entire field before dividing by the maximum value of the resulting yield values. Alternatively, agricultural intelligence computer system 130 may convert yield values to pixels using more complex methods, such as quantile transformations which are described further herein. [0140] While FIG. 7 depicts a pixel map generated from yield values, pixel maps may also be generated from other values, such as pH value, moisture content, nutrient content in the soil, temperature, and/or wavelengths of refracted light from digital images. Additionally, pixel maps may be generated from difference values, such as absolute values of differences between measured temperature and a predetermined optimal temperature. Thus, a pixel map may represent deviations from optimal values instead of the range of values)
Therefore, in combination of Guan and She, it would have been obvious to one of ordinary skill in the art before the effective filling date of the claimed invention to modify the computer-implemented method of Guan with generating pixel map including locations and intensity as seen in Zhong because this modification would represent crop yields at physical locations across a particular field ([0137] of Zhong) Guan, She, Zhong are understood to be silent on the remaining limitation of claim 1.
In the same field of endeavor, Hively teaches generating a map of tillage for the one or more fields, using the at least one index value for each of the pixels of the image, the map of tillage that is generated an intensity of the tillage for one or more segments of the one of more fields, the intensity of the tillage being different amounts or percentages of residue left in one or more segments of the one of more fields , causing display of the map of tillage for the one or more fields at an output device ( whole paper, see at least section 3.5. Mapping Crop Residue Cover in the Landscape as shown in Figure 7, “To classify residue cover throughout the agricultural landscape we first masked out all areas with NDVI > 0.3, to limit interference from vegetation, and masked agricultural fields using the USDA-NASS Cropland Data Layer. We then used the second-order SINDRI calibration equation (Table 2; R2 = 0.94, RMSE = 7.15) to predict percent residue cover for all non-masked pixels. This produced a map of calculated percent residue cover for all non-vegetated fields falling within the extent of the WV3 SWIR imagery (Figure 7). Within the 19.4 × 11.75 km imagery footprint, there were 14,860 ha of agricultural land, 7098 ha of which was non-vegetated (NDVI < 0.3). Of that land, 16.1% was classified as high impact tillage (<30% residue cover), 17.6% as conservation tillage (30 to 60% residue cover), and 61.3% as high residue management (>60% residue cover). Less than 5% of the non-vegetated agricultural land had percent residue predictions falling outside of the valid range of 0–100%, indicating that the residue prediction equations derived within the study region were effectively applied to the landscape. Although based on a comparatively small imagery extent, the observed distribution of tillage classes was similar to the statistics for conservation tillage occurrence on the Eastern Shore (21.5% high impact tillage, 18.1% conservation tillage, 60.4% high residue management) that were reported by Maryland to the Chesapeake Bay Program Partnership in 2015 (Chesapeake Assessment Scenario Tool: http://cast.chesapeakebay.net/).

Thus, the combination of Guan, She, Zhong and Hively teaches a computer-implemented method for use in processing image data associated with fields, the method comprising: accessing, by a computing device, an image of one or more fields, the image including multiple pixels, each of the pixels including a value for each of multiple bands; deriving, by the computing device, at least one index value for the image; generating a map of tillage for the one or more fields, using a trained model and the at least one index value for each of the pixels of the image, the map of tillage that is generated indicating both a location of a tillage and an intensity of the tillage for one or more segments of the one of more fields, the intensity of the tillage being different amounts or percentages of residue left in one or more segments of the one of more fields; storing, by the computing device, the map of tillage for the one or more fields in a memory; and causing display of the map of tillage for the one or more fields at an output device.

Therefore, in combination of Guan, She, Zhong and Hively, it would have been obvious to one of ordinary skill in the art before the effective filling date of the claimed invention to modify the computer-implemented method of Guan and generating pixel map including locations and intensity of Zhong and generating map of calculated precent crop residue cover on fields as seen in Hively with identifying whether a treatment was applied to each location as seen in Ruff because this modification would execute the trial in the identified locations, such as spraying a treatment according to a trial prescription ([0166] of Ruff).
Thus, the combination of Guan, She, Zhong, Hively and Ruff teaches further comprising treating the one or more fields based on the map of tillage for the one or more fields.
