DETAILED ACTION
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1-10 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Lee (KR 2020129328).
Regarding Claims 1-3, 5-6, Lee teaches a material represented by P2-43 (page 13):

P2-43 reads on applicants’ wherein X1 = C; X2 and X3 = N; A = phenyl; B and C not present; R1 and R2 = H; Ar1 = phenyl; Y = S; Ar2 = Formula 2 wherein Z1 = direct bond; Z2 = O; L = direct bond; R3-R10 = H (per claims 1-3, 5).
P2-43 is identical to applicants’ 192:

(per claim 6)
Regarding Claims 7-10, Lee teaches and OLED a first electrode (110) formed
on a substrate (not shown), a second electrode (170), and an organic layer
formed between the first electrode (110) and the second electrode (170) (machine trans. paragraph 35). a hole injection layer (120), a hole transport layer (130), a light emitting layer (140), an electron transport layer (150), and an electron injection layer (160) can be sequentially formed on the first electrode (110) (machine trans. paragraph 37). Formula 2 (P2-43)is used as a host for the light-emitting layer (machine trans. paragraph 51) (per claims 7-10).
Regarding Claim, Lee teaches the limitations of independent claim 1 wherein (Ar2 = Formula 2 or Formula 3) the limitations of dependent claim 4 are viewed as a recitation of the partial (Formula 3) limitations of independent claim 1; however, the missing limitation Formula 2 is nonetheless applicable. Therefore, as the basis for dependent claim 4 is encompassed in rejected independent claim 1, the limitations of claim 4 are thus meet by the treatment of independent claim 4 (per claim 4).
The office notes a claim written which specifically limits Ar2 to Formula 3 would exclude Formula 2, but as written Formula 2 is not excluded.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 11-12 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
A comprehensive search did not show the inventive compound in any of the specified layers (per claims 11-12).
