Office Action

§103
DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . 103 rejection of last OA is hereby incorporated by reference. Response to Arguments Applicant's arguments filed 8/13/2026 have been fully considered but they are not persuasive. Re Claim 1, Applicant argues that GAO and KIM in combination fails to teach all feature of the Claim. Specifically GAI fails to teach the combination fails to teach all features of the claim, "a CSI reporting setting comprising: a set of Non-Zero Power, NZP, CSI Reference Signal, CSI-RS, resources for channel measurement, the set of NZP CSI-RS resources for channel measurement comprising a first NZP CSI-RS resource for channel measurement, a second NZP CSI-RS resource for channel measurement, a third NZP CSI-RS resource for channel measurement, and a fourth NZP CSI-RS for channel measurement.". Examiner disagrees. GAO teaches CSI measurement can be configured by CSI reporting setting whereby resource configurations support NZP CSI-RS resources [0042]. GAO further teaches the CSI reporting setting can have a maximal transmission layers of 4 [0040]. GAO et al teaches the maximal transmission layer of 4 in figure 11 whereby the CSI reporting setting is configured with CSI-RS X, Y, Z, V (first, second, third, fourth resources) which can be separate NZP CSI RS resources and related to each PMI and RI. Hence, the CSI reporting setting can be configured with separate NZP CSI-RS and each related to the PMI and RI as claimed. Claims 12 and 25 do not require “PMI” or “RI”. Conclusion THIS ACTION IS MADE FINAL. Applicant is reminded of the extension of time policy as set forth in 37 CFR 1.136(a). A shortened statutory period for reply to this final action is set to expire THREE MONTHS from the mailing date of this action. In the event a first reply is filed within TWO MONTHS of the mailing date of this final action and the advisory action is not mailed until after the end of the THREE-MONTH shortened statutory period, then the shortened statutory period will expire on the date the advisory action is mailed, and any nonprovisional extension fee (37 CFR 1.17(a)) pursuant to 37 CFR 1.136(a) will be calculated from the mailing date of the advisory action. In no event, however, will the statutory period for reply expire later than SIX MONTHS from the mailing date of this final action. .
