DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1-3, 15-17, 19, 20, 22 and 23 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Mitsubishi Electric Corp. JP 51520307B (of record).
Mitsubishi Electric Corp. disclose a 180 degree hybrid circuit comprising a cavity (cylindrical metal box) and a strip line (a strip conductor 2), wherein the strip line is located in the cavity (the strip line formed on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate 1 suspended in metal box), and is insulated from the cavity; wherein the strip line comprises a signal processing line ( first port strip conductor 41), a plurality of power branch lines ( first meander line 37 and the line between 41 and 12), and a connector ( bridge conductor ) , the signal processing line having one end conducted to a signal source and another end electrically connected to the plurality of power branch lines separately (figure 23); wherein the plurality of power branch lines comprise a first power branch line including a first segment (line between 41 and 12) and a second segment (line between 12 and 44) that are disconnected from each other, one end of the first segment being electrically connected to the signal processing line, the second segment being located at one end of the first segment away from the signal processing line, and wherein the connector is located between the first segment and the second segment, to implement signal transmission between the first segment and the second segment. (per claims 1, 15 and 17)
With regard to claims 2 , 19 and 22, the connector ( bridge conductor) is conductive and comprises a connection segment (first auxiliary bridge conductor 10) , a first pin (second strip conductor 4) , and a second pin (third strip conductor 5) , the first pin and the second pin are separately disposed at two ends of the connection segment, the first pin is fixed relative to the first segment and the second pin is fixed relative to the second segment, and the first pin and the second pin separately implement signal transmission between the first segment and the second segment in a conduction or coupling manner.
With regard to claim 3, a line width of the connection segment (first auxiliary bridge conductor ) is less than or equal to a line width of the first segment (second strip conductor 4 ) and a line width of the second segment (third strip conductor 5) .
With regard to claim 16, radio frequency function device is a phase shifter.
With regards to claims 20 and 23, the first auxiliary bridge conductor has a curve segment , the curve segment bends along an extension path from the first pin to the second pin.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 5-12, 21 and 24 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
