Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
This is in response to Application Filed 07/07/23. Claims 1 – 21 has been examined and is pending.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s)1 - 21 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. (a)(2) as being anticipated by Baek et al. US 20180189369 A1.
Regarding claims 1, 8 and 15, Baek anticipates a method, machine storage medium and system comprising: providing, from a provider account in a multi-tenant database system [0012 – 0019, see multitenant], a first version of a bundle to a consumer account [0012, see first version and user account], the bundle including an interface directly accessible to the consumer account [0003, see interface element] and a hidden bundle schema not directly accessible by the consumer account [0003,shows detection by second client device also regarding schema see database model in 0019, equivalent function and definition];
releasing, from the provider account, a second version of the bundle to the
consumer account [0012, shows first and second versions];
determining that the second version is more than one minor version from the
first version [0012, see next to latest version];
upgrading, in the consumer account, from the first version to an intermediate
version of the bundle based on determining that the second version is more than one
minor version from the first version [0084, see update, uploaded and or downloaded]; and
upgrading, in the consumer account, from the intermediate version to the
second version of the bundle [0084 – 0085, see update also shows differences between versions].
Regarding claims 2, 9 and 16, the method of claim 1, wherein the bundle maintains operation by the consumer account during upgrading from the first version to the intermediate
version and from intermediate version to the second version [0084 – 0085].
Regarding claims 3, 10 and 17, the method of claim 1, wherein the first version is a n minor version of the bundle, the method further comprising:
determining that at least one job is executing on an n-1 or earlier minor version of the bundle in the consumer account [0084 – 0085, see differences];
pausing the upgrade to the intermediate version based on determining that the at least one job is running on the n-1 or earlier minor version; detecting that the at least one job is completed; and resuming upgrading to the intermediate version based on detecting that the at least one job is completed [0042, see stop, pause and resume].
Regarding claims 4, 11 and 18, the method of claim 3, wherein determining that at least one job is running on an n-1 or earlier minor version is based on a first timestamp associated with a start time of the at least one job and a second timestamp associated with an upgrade
time of the bundle [0012, see timestamp].
Regarding claims 5, 12 and 19, the method of claim 1, further comprising:
providing a security barrier between the interface and the hidden bundle
schema, wherein the security barrier restricts access of the consumer account to
non-exposed objects in the hidden bundle schema, and wherein the security barrier
restricts objects in the hidden bundle schema from accessing objects outside the
hidden bundle schema [0019, see access to own secure and exclusive].
Regarding claims 6, 13 and 20, the method of claim 1, further comprising:
receiving, from the consumer account, a command referencing the bundle; executing a code portion of the bundle in context of a hidden bundle role; and transmitting results of the command to the consumer account [0070, see “send the results”].
Regarding claims 7, 14 and 21, the method of claim 1, wherein the second version is backward compatible with the intermediate version, and the intermediate version is backward compatible with the first version, wherein the second version is not backward compatible with
the first version [0014, shows interoperation between versions and comparison and synchronized content].
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. Hanson et al, US 12511395 B1 also teaches a Multi-tenant system with versioning between a first and second version in a database schema environment.
