DETAILED ACTION
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1-4, 6 and 10 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Je (KR 2012116881 A).
Regarding Claims 1-4, Je teaches a material represented by CF606 (machine trans page 30):

CF606 reads on applicants’ Formula 1 and 1-1 wherein R2 = Formula 2, L = direct bond. HAr = carbazole; R8 = carbazole; remaining R(s) = H; X = C(R’)(R”) , R’ and R” = methyl (per claims 1, 2, 3, 4).
Regarding Claims 6 and 10, Je teaches an OLED containing an anode (ITO), hole injection layer (CuPc), hole transport layer (NPD), material layer (Alq3 and CF606), LiF, electron injection layer, AI, cathode (machine trans. paragraph 774) (per claims 6 and 10).
Allowable Subject Matter I
Claims 5-9 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
A comprehensive search did not show the inventions of claims 5-9; the closest prior art is by Je, above.
Kang (US 2022/0123223 A1) teaches host material reding on applicants’ Formula 2 but not in connection to applicants’ Formula 1 in an OLED.
Allowable Subject Matter II
The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter as applicant claims the device of claim 11.
A comprehensive search did not show the inventions of claim 11; the closest prior arty is by Je; Je fails to show Formula 2. Kang (US 2022/0123223 A1) teaches host material reding on applicants’ Formula 2 but not in connection to applicants’ Formula 1 in an OLED.
Claim 11 allowed.
