Office Action

§112
CTFR 18/391,253 CTFR 92100 DETAILED ACTION Response to Amendment The Amendment filed 3/16/2026 has been entered. Claim Status Claims 1-2, 4-15, and 17-21 are pending in this Office Action. Claims 1, 5-6, 8, 11-14, 18, and 20 are amended. Claims 3 and 16 are cancelled. Response to Arguments Applicant’s arguments with respect to claims 1, 13, and 14 have been considered and are persuasive. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. Claim 13 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention . Claim 13 is directed to “A second electronic device”, however the claim includes limitations directed to both the second electronic device and “a first electronic device”. For example, lines 14-15 recite “the first electronic device transmits the identification information to the media server”. Since the claim is directed to a second electronic device, but includes limitations directed to an entirely different “first electronic device”, the scope of the claim is unclear. Therefore, it is not clear if the limitations directed to the first electronic device are within the metes and bounds of the claim. See also lines 7-8. The Examiner suggests amending the claim to a system comprising a first electronic device and a second electronic device. Allowable Subject Matter 12-151-07 AIA 07-97 12-51-07 Claim s 1-2, 4-12, 14-15, and 17-21 are allowed. Conclusion 07-40 AIA Applicant's amendment necessitated the new ground(s) of rejection presented in this Office action. Accordingly, THIS ACTION IS MADE FINAL . See MPEP § 706.07(a). Applicant is reminded of the extension of time policy as set forth in 37 CFR 1.136(a). A shortened statutory period for reply to this final action is set to expire THREE MONTHS from the mailing date of this action. In the event a first reply is filed within TWO MONTHS of the mailing date of this final action and the advisory action is not mailed until after the end of the THREE-MONTH shortened statutory period, then the shortened statutory period will expire on the date the advisory action is mailed, and any nonprovisional extension fee (37 CFR 1.17(a)) pursuant to 37 CFR 1.136(a) will be calculated from the mailing date of the advisory action. In no event, however, will the statutory period for reply expire later than SIX MONTHS from the mailing date of this final action.
