Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a1) as being anticipated by Yohn et al. (US 5,516,303). Yohn et al. disclose an electrical connector assembly comprising: a first electrical connector (50) including: an insulating member (70); an inner conductor (68) and an outer conductor (62) both secured with the insulating member, the outer conductor including an extension (72); a fixing plate (88) secured to the extension of the outer conductor; and an adapting shell (94) movably confined between the outer conductor and the fixing plate to be moveable about the insulating member. Allowable Subject Matter Claims 2-3 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. Claims 4-6 are allowed. The prior art of record failed to teach the connector assembly including a second electrical connector including: an outer housing and a contact piece secured to the outer housing; an inner housing received in the outer housing, a contact mounted to the inner housing, and a guiding funnel secured to the inner housing; and an outer shell secured to the outer housing to movably confine the inner housing while keeping the contact in constant touch with the contact piece; wherein the inner conductor of the first electrical connector is adapted to mate with the contact of the second electrical connector.
