The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter:
As stated in the previous Office action and repeated here for a USPTO reviewer who does not take the record as a whole, Chen, et al discloses an apparatus (figure 11), comprising one or more processors (#1102) and one or more memories (#1101) storing instructions of a repository function of a cellular network (figure 1, ¶3, 45, 46, 10, 127, 158, 167-169 etc.). The instructions, when executed by the one or more processors (#1102) , cause the apparatus to perform operations, the operations comprising receiving, from a positioning reference unit (figure 2, #UE) of a cellular network (figure 1), positioning information for the positioning reference unit (#UE), the positioning information indicating, a position of the positioning reference unit (#UE) in the cellular network (figure 1, #S205, S211, ¶79-103). Storing the information for the positioning reference unit (#1101, #S206-S208) and in response to receiving from a network element of the cellular network (#S203, ¶76), a request for positioning information of the positioning reference unit (#UE), sending positioning information for the positioning reference unit (#UE) to the network element (¶4, 18, 75, 89, 102, etc.)

The prior art of record does not disclose or make obvious the claimed storing the positioning information for each respective positioning reference unit of the at least one positioning reference unit. Receiving, from a location services client, a service request for a location of a target user equipment. Determining access and mobility management function of the cellular network that is associated with the target user equipment. Requesting the access and mobility management function that is associated with the target user equipment provide, to the repository function, the location of the target user equipment. In response to receiving, from a location management function network element of the cellular network, a request for positioning information for a positioning reference unit serving the target user equipment. The positioning referenced unit serving the target user equipment is one of the at least one positioning reference unit for which information is stored, Sending the positioning information for the positioning reference unit serving the user equipment to the location management function network element in response to the requesting, receiving, from the access and mobility management function that is associated with the target user equipment, the location of the target user equipment and providing, to the location services client, the location of the target user equipment. In combination with an apparatus comprising one or more processors and one or more memories storing instructions of a repository function of a cellular network. The instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to perform operations, the operations comprising receiving from each respective positioning reference unit of at least one positioning reference unit of a cellular network, positioning information for the respective positioning reference unit.
