This is a response to Applicant’s communication filed on August 9, 2023. Application No. 18/447,057, is a U.S. Nonprovisional application filed August 9, 2023, and claim the on benefit of U.S. Provisional application No. 63/397,147, filed August 11, 2022. Claims 1-8 are pending.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102(a)(1)
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-8 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Singh et al., A Review on Venom Enzymes Neutralizing Ability of Secondary Metabolites from Medicinal Plants, 20(3) J. Pharmacopuncture 173-178 (2017). Singh discloses a method against snake envenomation of a neurotoxic venom (from Naja spp., i.e., Naja naja), comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition containing a flavonoid compound of at least quercetin. See Singh et al., p. 175, section “5. Flavanoids”.
