This Office Action is in response to the submission filed 2025-12-22 (herein referred to as the Reply) where claim(s) 1-20 are pending for consideration. Election/Restrictions Applicant's election with traverse in the Reply is acknowledged and found persuasive. The restriction requirement is hereby withdrawn. Claim(s) 1-20 are pending for consideration. 35 USC §102 - Claim Rejections The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. (a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim(s) is/are rejected under AIA 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being unpatentable over DIMITRIOS_418 (WO2023213418) Claim(s) 1, 6 DIMITRIOS_418 teaches receiving, from a Detnet controller of a deterministic network, configuration information including requirements in the deterministic network; The DetNet aware node encapsulates the packet into the DetNet flow 204 based on information (rules) provided by a DetNet controller (not shown in Figure 2). The rules are in the form of a DetNet Yang model, as described in draft-ietf-detnet-yang-16 (i.e., DetNet configuration). This document contains the specification for configuration and operational data for DetNet flows such as the DetNet flow. <FIG(s). 2, 6, 8; para. 0034, 0066-0069, 0099>. identifying, based on the configuration information, a protocol data unit (PDU) session associated with an internet protocol (IP) address of a user equipment (UE); and DetNet-aware node receives configuration information from the DetNet controller in the form of DetNet Yang traffic profiles, and converts, said configuration information into TSC assistance information containing QoS information of a QoS flow for a corresponding PDU session of a UE. <FIG(s). 2, 6, 8; para. 0034, 0066-0071, 0090-0093, 0100; Table 1>. transmitting, to a policy control function (PCF), quality of service (QoS) parameters obtained based on the requirements in the configuration information, the QoS parameters being used for a policy update to be applied for the PDU session.
