DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA. 2. Claims 1- 6 are pending in this office action. Priority 3. Receipt is acknowledged of papers submitted under 35 U.S.C. 119(a)-(d) or (f), which papers have been placed of record in the file. Information Disclosure Statement 4. Information disclosure statement s (IDS), submitted August 16 , 2023, and April 11, 2024, ha ve been received and considered by the examiner. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 5. In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis ( i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status. 6. The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale , or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. 7. Claim s 1-6 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102 (a)(1) FILLIN "Insert either \“(a)(1)\” or \“(a)(2)\” or both. If paragraph (a)(2) of 35 U.S.C. 102 is applicable, use form paragraph 7.15.01.aia, 7.15.02.aia or 7.15.03.aia where applicable." \d "[ 2 ]" as being anticipated by Kim et al. (WO2022/177378A1), using Kim et al . (US 2024/0128605 A1) as an English equivalent. With regard to Claims 1-2, Kim et al. disclose in Figures 1-4, a manufacturing method of a secondary battery and a cylindrical secondary battery manufactured by the manufacturing method , the manufacturing method comprising: winding an electrode assembly (A) to expose a first electrode uncoated portion (32) and a second electrode uncoated portion (33) to opposite ends in a longitudinal direction; bending at least some portions of the first electrode uncoated portion (32) and the second electrode uncoated portion (33) of the electrode assembly (A) in a direction by pressing the first electrode uncoated portion (32) and the second electrode uncoated portion (33) with a forming jig (30) ; welding electrode collector plates (34, 35) to ends of the bent first and second electrode uncoated portions (32, 33) (paragraphs 0008-0015) ; and inserting and sealing the electrode assembly (A) into a cylindrical case (190) (paragraphs 00178-0180; See Figure 13a) . With regard to Claims 3-4 , Kim et al. disclose in Figures 1-4, a manufacturing method of a secondary battery and a cylindrical secondary battery manufactured by the manufacturing method , wherein the first electrode uncoated portion (32) and the second electrode uncoated portion (33) are bent by a plurality of jigs (30) (paragraphs 0008-0015) . With regard to Claims 5-6 , Kim et al. disclose in Figures 1-4, a manufacturing method of a secondary battery and a cylindrical secondary battery manufactured by the manufacturing method , wherein the first electrode uncoated portion (32) and the second electrode uncoated portion (33) are pressed in a winding axis direction of the electrode assembly (A) by the plurality of jigs (30) and are then bent (paragraphs 0008-0015) .
