Response to Arguments Applicant's arguments filed 01/16/2026 have been fully considered but they are not persuasive. It is argued that, any combination of Collings and Pick fails to suggest or fairly teach the limitation “acknowledging presented messages to the companion service with a receipt that is cryptographically bound to the digital certificate and the user profile” (REMARKS, p.7-8). Examiner respectfully disagrees and notes that, the limitation is obvious over the cited arts. As best understood from the language of the claim, and the specification of the invention, the limitation is understood as acknowledgements of presented messages are bound to crypto/certificate for verification. COLLINGE teaches verifying/validating received messages. For example, “The cloud system 302 may then authenticate (e.g., validate) the CAP token, such as by using a CAP token validation system as will be apparent to persons having skill in the relevant art” (par.0055), “At stage 17, the authorization request may be forwarded to the payment network 124, which may forward the authorization request and/or information included in the authorization request to the issuer 108. At optional stage 18, the issuer may verify the translated PIN” (par.0089), “In step 1112, the receipt message may be received by the payment credentials management service 112 and may be decrypted using the mobile session key and validated” (par.0108). Conclusion THIS ACTION IS MADE FINAL. Applicant is reminded of the extension of time policy as set forth in 37 CFR 1.136(a). A shortened statutory period for reply to this final action is set to expire THREE MONTHS from the mailing date of this action. In the event a first reply is filed within TWO MONTHS of the mailing date of this final action and the advisory action is not mailed until after the end of the THREE-MONTH shortened statutory period, then the shortened statutory period will expire on the date the advisory action is mailed, and any nonprovisional extension fee (37 CFR 1.17(a)) pursuant to 37 CFR 1.136(a) will be calculated from the mailing date of the advisory action. In no event, however, will the statutory period for reply expire later than SIX MONTHS from the mailing date of this final action.
