DETAILED ACTION
Claim Objections
Claim 1 is objected to because of the following informalities: In Line 6, it should be –the grounding portion--. Appropriate correction is required.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-3 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Neu et al. (U.S. Patent Application Publication No. 2015/0222029). Regarding Claim 1, Neu discloses a coaxial cable clamping member, comprising: a clamping main body (4) capable of clamping a coaxial cable (1802); a pressure contact blade (1502) being fixed to the clamping main body and being capable of being connected to an outer conductor (Paragraph 0138) of the coaxial cable; and a grounding portion (1504) being fixed to the clamping main body under a state in which the grounding portion is electrically coupled to the pressure contact blade and being capable of grounding the outer conductor of the coaxial cable to a grounded portion (Paragraph 0151), wherein the clamping main body is configured to clamp a plurality of coaxial cables (1802), under a state in which the clamping main body clamps the plurality of coaxial cables, the outer conductors of all the plurality of coaxial cables clamped by the clamping main body are electrically connected to the grounding portion via the pressure contact blade, and the coaxial cable clamping member further comprises a plurality of cable holders (1604) each of which is fixed to the clamping main body under a state in which the plurality of cable holders are separated from each other and is capable of temporarily holding one coaxial cable, the clamping main body includes: a first clamping portion (1400) to which the plurality of cable holders are fixed; and a second clamping portion (1600) capable of collectively clamping the plurality of coaxial cables with the first clamping portion, a blade portion (1502) provided to each of the plurality of cable holders functions as the pressure contact blade, and a cable retainer (1406) for performing a pressing by pressing the coaxial cable at the time of clamping the plurality of coaxial cables and a partition wall (wall between 1604 and 1606) for partitioning the plurality of coaxial cables from each other are formed in the second clamping portion.
Regarding Claim 2, Neu discloses the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion being coupled to each other via a hinge (902).
Regarding Claim 3, Neu discloses all blade portions being electrically connected to the grounding portion via a coupling portion (1510).
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. The cited prior art discloses coaxial cable clamping members, similar to Applicant’s claimed invention, having contact and grounding blades, clamping portions and cable retainers.
