DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Continued Examination Under 37 CFR 1.114
A request for continued examination under 37 CFR 1.114, including the fee set forth in 37 CFR 1.17(e), was filed in this application after final rejection. Since this application is eligible for continued examination under 37 CFR 1.114, and the fee set forth in 37 CFR 1.17(e) has been timely paid, the finality of the previous Office action has been withdrawn pursuant to 37 CFR 1.114. Applicant's submission filed on 01/09/2026 has been entered.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a) (1) as being anticipated by Chen et al. (EP 3595153 and Chen hereinafter).
Regarding claim 1, Chen discloses an apparatus [fig. 3], comprising: a detector circuit [230] having a first terminal [V2 terminal], a second terminal [V1 terminal] , and an output [VG], the first terminal coupled to a power input [voltage V2], the second terminal coupled to a switch control terminal [SW, external radio frequency (RF) switch], the detector circuit configurable to: detect a voltage difference [V1’] between the second terminal and the first terminal, in which a voltage at the second terminal has a range between a positive value [e.g., 3] and a negative value [e.g., -3]; and provide a signal [output 232] at its output indicative of the voltage difference exceeds a threshold [VX, when the comparator 232 determines that the comparison voltage V1' is higher than the threshold voltage VX, the control circuit 230 would adjust the reference voltage VG to the first predetermined reference value REF1 through the voltage selector 236.].
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 10, 13-20 and 22 are allowed.
Claims 2-9, 21 and 23 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
Response to Arguments
Applicant’s arguments with respect to claim 1 have been considered but are moot because the new ground of rejection.
