DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Priority
Acknowledgment is made of applicant’s claim for foreign priority under 35 U.S.C. 119 (a)-(d).
Specification
The lengthy specification has not been checked to the extent necessary to determine the presence of all possible minor errors. Applicant’s cooperation is requested in correcting any errors of which applicant may become aware in the specification.
The disclosure is objected to because of the following informalities: The substituents on Formula 1-1 and 1 on page 175 are unclear, for example :

Appropriate correction is required.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 1-21 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
Instant claim 1 recites in part “ an organometallic compound represented by Formula 1….wherein , in Formula 1, R2, R4, R31 and R32 are each independently hydrogen, … a2, a31, a32, and a34 are each independently an integer from 1 to 20, …”. However, when R2, R4, R31 and R32 are each independently hydrogen then a2, a31, a32, and a34 cannot have an integer greater than 1. Hydrogen can only have one bond. The claim as written is indefinite and unclear. Appropriate correction is required.
Instant claim 11 recites in part “ an organometallic compound represented by Formula 1….wherein , in Formula 1, R2, R4, R31 and R32 are each independently hydrogen, … a2, a31, a32, and a34 are each independently an integer from 1 to 20, …”. However, when R2, R4, R31 and R32 are each independently hydrogen then a2, a31, a32, and a34 cannot have an integer greater than 1. Hydrogen can only have one bond. The claim as written is indefinite and unclear. Appropriate correction is required.
Claims 2-10 depend on claim 1 and claims 12-21 depend on claim 11; therefore, the claims are also indefinite and rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph. Appropriate correction is required.
Prior Art
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. See Shen et al.
