Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 5 . The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. 6 . Claims 1 - 4, 8-9, 11- 14, 1 7 - 19 rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Venkat Narasimham PERI ( US-20230001234-A1 ). As per claim 1, PERI teaches “ A computer-implemented method, the computer-implemented method comprising ” : “ receiving, by one or more processors, an input parameter and one or more historical parameters for an entity ,” ( fig. 1 , [0021], [002 8 ] -[0030] ) ; “ identifying, by the one or more processors and using a partial information decomposition (PID) data source, a plurality of PID scores based on the input parameter and the one or more historical parameters ,” ( [0029]-[0035] ) ; “ determining, by the one or more processors, an adverse outcome prediction based on the plurality of PID scores ,’ ( fig. 1, [0031]-[0037] ) ; and “ in response to the adverse outcome prediction, initiating, by the one or more processors, the performance of a prediction-based action ,” ( fig. 1, [00 36]-[0039] ) . As per claim 2, PERI further shows “ wherein a PID score of the plurality of PID scores is previously generated based on two or more source parameters from a source parameter dataset and a target parameter ,’ ( Table 1 , [002 9 ] -[0035] ) . As per claim 3, PERI further shows “ wherein (i) the plurality of PID scores is previously generated using a historical dataset comprising a plurality of historical data objects for a plurality of entities, wherein each of the plurality of historical data objects are indicative of one or more source parameters from the source parameter dataset ,’ ( Table 1, [0029]-[0035] ) ; and “ (ii) the plurality of PID scores is precomputed on a time interval based on one or more updates to the plurality of historical data objects for the plurality of entities ,” ( [00 38]-[0039] ) . As per claim 4, PERI further shows “ wherein the PID data source comprises a plurality of PID score datasets that respectively correspond to a different target parameter and the computer-implemented method further comprises ” : “ receiving a target parameter definition ,’ ( Table 1, [0029]-[0035] ) ; and “ identifying the plurality of PID scores based on the target parameter definition ,” ( Table 1, [0029]-[0035] ) . As per claim 8, PERI further shows “ wherein the prediction-based action comprises providing an alert to a user that is indicative of the adverse outcome prediction ,” ( [0036] ) . As per claim 9, PERI further shows “ wherein the alert is indicative of a particular alternative parameter for the entity ,” ( [0038]-[0039] ) . As per claim 11, PERI teaches “ A computing system comprising memory and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the memory, the one or more processors configured to ” : “ receive an input parameter and one or more historical parameters for an entity ,” ( fig. 1, [0021], [0028]-[0030] ) ; “ identify, using a partial information decomposition (PID) data source, a plurality of PID scores based on the input parameter and the one or more historical parameters ,” ([0029]-[0035]) ; “ determine an adverse outcome prediction based on the plurality of PID scores ,” (fig. 1, [0031]-[0037]) ; and “ in response to the adverse outcome prediction, initiate the performance of a prediction-based action ,” (fig. 1, [0036]-[0039]) . As per claim 12, PERI further shows “ wherein a PID score of the plurality of PID scores is previously generated based on two or more source parameters from a source parameter dataset and a target parameter ,” (Table 1, [0029]-[0035]) . As per claim 13, PERI further shows “ wherein (i) the plurality of PID scores is previously generated using a historical dataset comprising a plurality of historical data objects for a plurality of entities, wherein each of the plurality of historical data objects are indicative of one or more source parameters from the source parameter dataset ,” ( Table 1, [0029]-[0035] ) ; and “ (ii) the plurality of PID scores is precomputed on a time interval based on one or more updates to the plurality of historical data objects for the plurality of entities ,” ([0038]-[0039]) . As per claim 14, PERI further shows “ wherein the PID data source comprises a plurality of PID score datasets that respectively correspond to a different target parameter and the one or more processors are further configured to ” : “ receive a target parameter definition ,” ( Table 1, [0029]-[0035] ) ; and “ identify the plurality of PID scores based on the target parameter definition ,” ( Table 1, [0029]-[0035] ) . As per claim 17, PERI teaches “ One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media including instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to ” : “ receive an input parameter and one or more historical parameters for an entity ,” ( fig. As per claim 18, PERI further shows “ wherein the prediction-based action comprises providing an alert to a user that is indicative of the adverse outcome prediction ,” ([0036]) . As per claim 19, PERI further shows “ wherein the alert is indicative of a particular alternative parameter for the entity ,” ([0038]-[0039]) . Allowable Subject Matter 7. Claims 5-7 , 10 , 15 -16 and 20 objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
