DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-4 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Javaid et al. (USPUB 2018/0178666).
As to Claim 1, Javaid discloses a wireless power transfer system that performs wireless power transfer by magnetic coupling between a supply device on a ground and a vehicle on traveling, the wireless power transfer system comprising: a control device that controls wireless power transfer from a power transmitter of the supply device to a power receiver of the vehicle (Figure 3), wherein the control device is configured to: determine that a coupling deviation has occurred in the magnetic coupling in a case where a state in which received power in the power receiver is smaller than a target value by a predetermined value or more has continued for a predetermined time period during the wireless power transfer from the supply device to the vehicle; and perform a state transition to Magnetic Coupling Check to confirm a coupling coefficient of the magnetic coupling in a case where the control device has determined that the coupling deviation has occurred (Paragraphs 42-43 and 47).
As to Claim 2, Javaid discloses the wireless power transfer system according to claim 1, wherein the control device performs a state transition to Pairing in a case where the coupling coefficient is not increased within a predetermined time period in a state of the Magnetic Coupling Check (Paragraphs 44-46).
As to Claim 3, Javaid discloses a control device of a supply device that performs wireless power transfer by magnetic coupling with a vehicle on traveling, the control device comprising: a control unit that controls wireless power transfer from a power transmitter of the supply device to a power receiver of the vehicle (Figure 3), wherein the control unit is configured to: determine that a coupling deviation has occurred in the magnetic coupling in a case where it is determined that a state in which received power in the power receiver is smaller than a target value by a predetermined value or more has continued for a predetermined time period during the wireless power transfer from the supply device to the vehicle; and perform a state transition to Magnetic Coupling Check to confirm a coupling coefficient of the magnetic coupling in a case where the control unit has determined that the coupling deviation has occurred (Paragraphs 42-43 and 47).
As to Claim 4, Javaid discloses the control device of a supply device according to claim 3, wherein the control unit performs a state transition to Pairing in a case where the coupling coefficient is not increased within a predetermined time in a state of Magnetic Coupling Check (Paragraphs 44-46).
