DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Priority
Acknowledgment is made of applicant’s claim for foreign priority under 35 U.S.C. 119
(a)-(d).
Information Disclosure Statement
The information disclosure statement (IDS) submitted on 12/05/2023 is in compliance with the provisions of 37 CFR 1.97. Accordingly, the information disclosure statement is being considered by the examiner.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 1-10 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
Claim 1, line 15 recites: “… generator is arranged inside the receiving unit, the receiving unit, the receiving unit configured to …”. It cannot be determined from this language whether the underlined instance of “the receiving unit” is extraneous and should be removed; or alternatively, a limitation in combination with “the receiving unit” has been inadvertently omitted. This renders the metes and bounds of the limitation indeterminate. Claims 2-10 inherit the same defect by virtue of their dependency and are similarly rejected. Appropriate correction is required. No new matter may be entered.
Specification
The title of the invention is not descriptive. A new title is required that is clearly indicative of the invention to which the claims are directed.
The following title is suggested: Electric Vehicle Charging Station with Extendable Wind and Solar Power Generation Means.
Drawings
The drawings are objected to because the unlabeled items shown in the drawings should be provided with descriptive text labels, consistent with the specification, as feasible. For example, item 13 should be labeled solar modules 13; item LU should be labeled lifting unit LU; item RU should be labeled receiving unit RU, etc. Corrected drawing sheets in compliance with 37 CFR 1.121(d) are required in reply to the Office action to avoid abandonment of the application. Any amended replacement drawing sheet should include all of the figures appearing on the immediate prior version of the sheet, even if only one figure is being amended. The figure or figure number of an amended drawing should not be labeled as “amended.” If a drawing figure is to be canceled, the appropriate figure must be removed from the replacement sheet, and where necessary, the remaining figures must be renumbered and appropriate changes made to the brief description of the several views of the drawings for consistency. Additional replacement sheets may be necessary to show the renumbering of the remaining figures. Each drawing sheet submitted after the filing date of an application must be labeled in the top margin as either “Replacement Sheet” or “New Sheet” pursuant to 37 CFR 1.121(d). If the changes are not accepted by the examiner, the applicant will be notified and informed of any required corrective action in the next Office action. The objection to the drawings will not be held in abeyance.
Status of Claims
Claims 1-10 (original) are pending for prosecution on the merits.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 1-10 are provisionally allowed as currently presented pending addressing of the
rejection above.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure.
US 20230188082 discloses an integrated mobile solution to electric vehicle charging and sharing without dependency on connection with an electrical power grid or utility. An integrated platform can include a platform housing secured to a transport base unit that is configured to facilitate transport of the integral platform among a road or other terrain. The integrated platform includes a plurality of renewable energy units that can generate electrical power from one or more renewable energy sources, including solar and wind power. Electrical power generated by the renewable energy units can be stored in one or more batteries, and selectively provide power for charging electric vehicles, as well as for components of the integral platform used for vehicle sharing services. An environmental sensing unit of the integrated platform can sense outside ambient conditions which can be transmitted from the integrated platform for sharing or use by other parties or applications.
US 11780343 discloses a mobile electronic vehicle (EV) charging station. The charging station may include one or more charging bays for charging electric vehicles (EVs). The charging station includes a plurality of batteries within an interior compartment to supply power for charging the EVs. There is a power delivery subsystem to control supply of electrical power from the batteries to the charging bays. The charging station self-driving to move between a first position to a second position. In some cases, the charging station includes a drive subsystem that controls speed and/or steering based on wireless communications.
US 8106593 discloses a hybrid lighting device comprising a solar panel arranged to generate electric power; a wind turbine arranged to generate electric power; an energy storage device electrically connected with the power controller and arranged to store electric power; a power controller electrically connected with the energy storage device and the solar panel and the wind turbine and arranged to transfer electric power; and an induction-based light source electrically connected with the power controller.
US 10483790 discloses a solar or self-powered assembly includes a rechargeable battery and photo voltaic panel and/or wind turbine for supplying a battery charging current. A charge controller processor is controls charging current from the photovoltaic panel and/or wind turbine to maintain the battery in a substantially fully charged state of 80% or more state of charge over daily charge and discharge cycle charging is based on a projected target energy input based on the initial bulk energy charge, the level of discharge required to compensate for charging inefficiencies and the battery capacity factor representative of the projected natural charge in the battery over its lifespan.
US 20180069416 discloses a wind and solar powered Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) rental outlet specifically configured to offer electric bicycles, SEGWAYS. Personal mobility scooters and other such personal electric modes of transportation for rental in any remote, off-grid location served by the tourist industry, such as islands and beach resorts, and in other locations that typically do not have access to the electrical infrastructure to offer such a rental service. This LEV rental outlet is equipped with enough battery storage so as to allow for the multiple use of each personal electric vehicle on an hourly basis over the course of a day. The LEV rental outlet is configured entirely within an ISO Standard Shipping Container so as to be transportable on commercial container ship. This allows the LEV rental outlet it to be deployed and operated in any location in the world without the need of supporting infrastructure.
CN113199956 discloses a new energy automobile automatic positioning charging system, relating to the technical field of new energy automobile, wherein the technical solution is as follows: It comprises a charging pile body, a vehicle bit line frame, a mounting supporting plate, a control processor, a storage assembly, a charging lead, a charging joint, a touch display screen, an image collecting device, a wind power generation assembly, a solar photovoltaic film, a telescopic supporting mechanism, a U-shaped sliding rod, a telescopic supporting column one, a telescopic supporting column two; telescopic supporting column three, telescopic supporting column four, stepping motor, sliding seat, electric telescopic mechanism. The solution can park the electric vehicle into the space of the front U-shaped sliding rod of the charging pile body, automatically controlling the charging joint of the charging pile body is inserted to the charging port of the electric vehicle, avoiding the manual charging gun of the charging pile is manually inserted to the charging port of the electric vehicle is easy to damage the charging gun in the existing technology.
