Office Action

§112
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . DETAILED ACTION Priority and Status of the Claims 1. This application is a 371 PCT/US22/23494 04/05/2022, which claims benefit of the provisional application: 63170898 04/05/2021. 2. Claims 1-20 are pending in the application. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 3. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION-The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. Claim 19 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor, or for pre-AIA the applicant regards as the invention. Claim 19 recites a number of compounds, i.e., see lines 2-3 and 5 on page 7, line 1 on page 8, and lines 1-4 on page 11 There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim. It is noted that the variable R4 of formula (I) in claim 1 represents alkyl but not substituted with a phenyl, heterocycle, or cycloalkyl moiety. Correction is required. 4. Claims 1-18 and 20 are neither anticipated nor rendered obvious over the record, and therefore are allowable.
