DETAILED ACTION
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1-2, 4, 6-9, 11-15 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Qian (CN 112094261 A).
Regarding Claim, Qian teaches Compound 36 (page 5/23).

Compound 36 reads on applicants’ Formula 1, 5 wherein Y and X = O; Ar = phenyl; R1-R7 = H; L = direct bond; NHet = triazine (per claims 1-2).
The bond and the Ar group are para to each other (per claim 4).
Regarding Claims 6-9, 11-15, Qian teaches an OLED:
organic electroluminescent device is composed of an anode, a cathode and an organic layer between the two electrodes. The organic layer can be composed of a hole injection layer (HIL), an electron injection layer (EIL), a hole transport layer (HTL), an electron transport layer (ETL), an electron blocking layer (EBL), a hole blocking layer (HBL), a light emitting layer (EML) and other parts. The light-emitting layer materials
include host materials and doped materials in the light emitting layer (machine trans. 39 of 74) (per claim 14).
The OLED contains a first host represented by Compound 36 (above) (per claims 6 and 11-13) and a second host represented by G11 in the light emitting layer (machine trans. page 48 of 74):

G1 reads on applicants’ CF2 wherein Ra =biphenyl; Rb = phenyl; Rc and Rd = H (per claims 7-9); identical to applicants’ 2-3 (per claims 6-9).
The ratio of the hosts is 5:5 (machine trans. 70 of 74) which overlaps with a portion of applicants’ range (per claim 15).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 3, 5 and 10 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
A comprehensive search of the prior art did not show the above limitation.
