§102
DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Priority Receipt is acknowledged of certified copies of papers required by 37 CFR 1.55. Information Disclosure Statement The IDSes filed 01/08/24 and 10/24/24 have both been considered and placed of record. The two (2) initialed copies are attached herewith. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status. The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claims 1, 4, 5 and 11 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Chen et al. (US 2020/0259342A1). Re claims 1 and 5, the reference discloses a power supply circuit (fig 9), configured to charge/discharge a battery pack, wherein the battery pack having, inter alia, a first battery 104 and a second battery 102, and wherein the power supply circuit comprises a first circuit 208, a second circuit 206, a first switch 110 , and a second switch 106/108; wherein the first circuit 208 has a first end coupled to a power supply terminal of a charger 202 and another a second end coupled to a positive electrode of the first battery 104; a negative electrode of the first battery 104 is coupled to a first control terminal of the second switch 106/108; a first control terminal of the first switch 110 is coupled to the positive electrode of the first battery 104; a second control terminal of the first switch 110 is coupled to a second control terminal of the second switch 106 and a positive electrode of the second battery 102; a third control terminal of the second switch 106 is coupled to a negative electrode of the second battery 102; and the second circuit 206 has a first end coupled to the power supply terminal of the charger 202 and another a second end coupled to the positive electrode of the second battery102; and wherein: when the first switch 110 is off, the first control terminal of the second switch 106/108 is electrically connected to the second control terminal of the second switch106, the first control terminal of the second switch is electrically disconnected from the third control terminal of the second switch 108, and when the first circuit is on, the first circuit 208 and the second circuit 206 are configured to supply power to the battery pack (figs 12 and 16); and when the first switch 110 is on, the first control terminal of the second switch 106/108 is electrically disconnected from the second control terminal of the second switch106 , the first control terminal of the second switch is electrically connected to the third control terminal of the second switch 108, and when the first circuit is off, the battery pack supplies power to the outside through the second circuit (figs 11 and 15). Claim 5 is same as claim 1 except it claimed ‘an electronic circuit.’ (device 20 in reference). Re claims 4 and 11, the reference further discloses the circuit being a buck circuit (end of para 73). Allowable Subject Matter Claims 2, 3, 6-10 and 19-23 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. Claims 13-15 and 24 are allowed. Conclusion Any inquiry concerning this communication** should be directed to the Examiner at the below-listed number.
