DETAILED ACTION
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
The preliminary amendment dated December 12, 2023 is entered. Claims 1-4, 7, and 8 were amended. Claims 1-9 are pending.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-7 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by Lee et al. (US 2023/0183190 A1).
Lee et al. teaches triazine-based derivatives for use in an organic optoelectronic device (see par. 1, 54-58):

Ar1 and Ar2 may be aryl or heterocyclic group (see par. 57). L1 to L3 are single bond or arylene (see par. 56). R1 to R10 are hydrogen, deuterium, alkyl or aryl (see par. 58).
More specifically, an example Formula 1 compound includes at least the following compound #42 on page 11:

.
The above compound 42 meets the definitions of an instant Formula 1 compound of claim 1 where instant L1 to L3 are each direct bond, Ar1 and Ar2 are unsubstituted aryl, and R1 and R2 are hydrogen.
Regarding claim 2, above compound 42 corresponds to instant L1 as direct bond.
Regarding claim 3, above compound 42 corresponds to instant L2 as direct bond.
Regarding claim 4, above compound 42 corresponds to instant L3 as direct bond.
Regarding claim 5, above compound 42 comprises a phenyl group corresponding to instant Ar2.
Regarding claim 6, above compound 42 corresponds to instant R1 and R2 as hydrogen.
Regarding claim 7, above compound 42 is identical to the second listed compound on the top row of page 6 of the preliminary claim set. The following compound #88 also meets the requirements of claims 1-6 and is identical to instant claim 7 first listed compound (Lee page 18):

With respect to instant claims 8 and 9, above compound 9 was used to make example device Example 5 and above compound 88 was used to make example device Example 8 (see Table 3 at top of page 102 and see par. 180, 188-199) by placing the triazine compound in a light emitting layer.
