ddNotice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . DETAILED ACTION This office action is in response to applicant’s reply filed on June 3, 2026. Status of Claims Claims 13, 15-18 and 21-23 are currently pending and are the subject of this office action. Claims 13, 15-18 and 21-23 are presently under examination. Priority The present application is a 371 of PCT/US22/42431 filed on 09/02/2022 and claims priority to provisional application No. 63/244,775 filed on 09/16/2021. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status. The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim(s) 13, 15-18 and 21-23 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by Fang et. al. (WO 2022/253252, December 8, 2022, priority data 06/03/21). For claim 13, Fang discloses the following compound: PNG media_image1.png 64 480 media_image1.png Greyscale (see page 165, fifth compound from the top), which corresponds to the following structure: PNG media_image2.png 110 168 media_image2.png Greyscale (this compound is identical to the compound on claim 13 (page 22 of the clean version, third row from the top, middle compound). For claim 15, Fang teaches pharmaceutical compositions of the above compound (see abstract for example). For claim 16, Fang teaches pharmaceutical compositions comprising one or more of the disclosed compounds (see abstract, see also claim 55). For claim 17, Fang teaches that the compounds are effective in inhibiting HPK1 (see claim 56). For claims 18 and 21-23, Fang teaches a method of treating cancer comprising the administration of the above compound, wherein the cancer can be breast cancer, cervical cancer, colon cancer, etc. (see claims 57 and 59). Conclusion No claims are allowed.
