The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. 07-34-05 AIA Claim 20 recites the limitation " the shelf " in line 8 . There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim. For examining purposes the examiner has assumed claim 20 to depend upon claim 19. Correction required. (US 10,600,043 B2) . With respect to claims 1 and 12, Chaubard et al. discloses a mobile shopping cart comprising a frame 200 with wheels (not numbered), basket 300, a plurality of imaging devices or cameras 210, each camera is oriented towards the interior of the basket, and processors inherently with media storing instructions for determining contents from the imaging devices and the addition of items, for creating a virtual cart of all the items within the basket, as shown in figures 2-4. With respect to claim 3, the cameras identify items that are located within the proximity to the basket, by means of proximity sensor 150, as recited in col. 10, lines 5-19. With respect to claims 4 and 13, a third imaging camera 340 is located substantially perpendicular to the ground, as shown in figure 3. With respect to claim 7, the second and third imaging devices are on opposite sides of the cart and facing each other, as shown in figure 3. With respect to claim 8, a load sensor on tray or scale is able to be incorporated into the system, as recited in col. 3, lines 24-46. With respect to claim 9, the system is capable of identifying items from the imaging devices and determining the weight of items for a store to calculate a price, as recited in col. 9, lines 7-22. With respect to claim 17, Chaubard et al. discloses a mobile shopping cart comprising a frame 200 with wheels (not numbered), basket 300, a plurality of imaging devices or cameras 210, each camera is located outwards from the interior of the basket and oriented to face towards the interior of the basket, and processors, inherently with media storing instructions, for determining contents from the imaging devices for creating a virtual cart of all the items within the basket, as shown in figures 2-4 . Allowable Subject Matter 12-151-08 AIA 07-43 12-51-08 Claim s 5, 6, 10, 11, 14-16, and 18-20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
