Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-4 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Ambo (CN 1653650 B)(English Translated).
In Regards to Claim 1:
Ambo teaches a connection terminal (1), comprising:
an electric wire connection part (10) to which an electric wire (W) is electrically connected by ultrasonic bonding (UW); and an electric connection part (20) integrated with the electric wire connection part (10) and electrically connected to a mating terminal, wherein the electric connection part (20) comprises a box unit (20) which is bent at a plurality of bending parts (327) to be formed into a cylindrical shape and into which the mating terminal is insertable, and a spring part (30) disposed so as to be elastically deformable in an inner side of the box unit (20) and brought into contact with the mating terminal, the box unit (20) is provided with an avoidance recess (226) which is recessed so as to be thinner in thickness than other portions of the box unit (20), and avoids interference with the spring part (30), the avoidance recess (226) is disposed in the inner side of the box unit (20) from an inner end positioned on an innermost side of the box unit (20), the plurality of bending parts (327) is provided with thin-walled portions formed so as to be thinner in thickness than the other portions of the box unit (20), and the thin-walled portions (See Reproduced Drawing 1) are disposed in the bending parts (327) apart from the end portions positioned opposite to the electric wire connection part (10) with a predetermined length.
In Regards to Claim 2:
Ambo teaches the connection terminal according to claim 1, wherein the avoidance recess (226) is disposed apart from the bending parts (327).
In Regards to Claim 3:
Ambo teaches the connection terminal according to claim 1, wherein the box unit (20) comprises a spring wall part (21) to which the spring part (30) is connected, and a connection wall part connected to the spring wall part (21) via one bending part (327), and the avoidance recess (226) is provided in the connection wall part.
In Regards to Claim 4:
Ambo teaches the connection terminal according to claim 1, wherein the avoidance recess (226) is disposed apart from the thin-walled portions (See Reproduced Drawing 1).
