65Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
102 Rejection
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 16-18, and 20 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Park US 20190215095.
Regarding claims 1, 13, 20, Park teaches a user equipment (UE), comprising:
one or more memories storing processor-executable code (UE stores newly generated data, [0082]); and
one or more processors (UE processes, [0082])coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the UE to:
receive control signaling that indicates a parameter index value associated with two or more transmission parameter tables, wherein the two or more transmission parameter tables provide one or more transmission parameters for two or more different modulation orders for wireless communications between the UE (fig. 1 box UE) and one or more other devices (fig. 1 gNB) (abstract, [0167];
select a first transmission parameter table of the two or more transmission parameter tables that is associated with the parameter index value based at least in part on one or more of a bit value of one or more bits within the parameter index value, a reference signal configuration, a frequency range used for communications between the UE and the one or more other devices, or any combinations thereof ([0173-0175]); and
receive a wireless transmission based at least on part on a modulation order and target code rate that are indicated by the first transmission parameter table at an entry associated with the parameter index value ([0170]).
Regarding claims 4, 16, wherein the first transmission parameter table is selected based at least in part on a configuration of one or more higher modulation order transmission parameter tables ([0165]).
Regarding claims 5, 17, wherein an indication of the two or more transmission parameter tables is provided in radio resource control (RRC) configuration information for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) configuration ([0121]).
Regarding claims 7, 18, wherein selection of the first transmission parameter table is based at least in part on a set of rules and one or more of a higher layer parameter that configures one or more higher modulation order transmission parameter tables, a downlink control information (DCI) format, whether the UE is configured with one
or more types of radio network temporary identifiers (RNTIs), or any combinations thereof (DCI, [0058], RNTI, [0078]).
Regarding claim 12, a plurality of transmission parameter tables are configured separately for different frequency ranges used for communications between the UE and the one or more other devices, for different spectral efficiencies used for communications between the UE and the one or more other devices, or any combinations thereof ([0199, 0214]).
