Office Action

§112
CTNF 18/657,955 CTNF 73834 DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status 07-03-aia AIA 15-10-aia The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA. This Office Action is in response to the application filed May 8, 2024. Priority 02-26 AIA Receipt is acknowledged of certified copies of papers required by 37 CFR 1.55. Specification 06-11 AIA The title of the invention is not descriptive. A new title is required that is clearly indicative of the invention to which the claims are directed. 06-11-01 AIA The following title is suggested: DISPLAY APPARATUS INCLUDING PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD AND CIRCUIT FILM . 07-44 The specification is objected to as failing to provide proper antecedent basis for the claimed subject matter “ another side electrode ”. See 37 CFR 1.75(d)(1) and MPEP § 608.01(o). Correction of the following is required. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 07-30-02 AIA The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. Claim 20 recites the limitations: " the extension " in lines 7 and 10; " the extension part " in line 9; and " the plate " in line 9. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim. Claims 21-22 are rejected as being dependent upon rejected claim 20. Allowable Subject Matter 12-151-07 AIA 07-97 12-51-07 Claim s 1-19 are allowed. 13-03-01 AIA The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter: In regard to claim 1, The prior art of record (Jeong et al. (US 2020/0185641 A1)) does not disclose, make obvious, or otherwise suggest the structure of the applicant's claimed invention together with the other limitations of the dependent claims 2-14, such as the configuration of the support member, display panel, printed circuit board, circuit film, bent portion and extension; and In regard to claim 15, The prior art of record (Jeong et al. (US 2020/0185641 A1)) does not disclose, make obvious, or otherwise suggest the structure of the applicant's claimed invention together with the other limitations of the dependent claims 16-19, such as the configuration of the support member, display panel, printed circuit board, circuit film, bent portion, protruding area and opening . 07-43-01 As best understood, claims 20-22 would be allowable if rewritten or amended to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action. Conclusion 07-96 AIA The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. The following patents are cited to further show the state of the art with respect to display devices: Choi et al. (US 2022/0310970 A1) Jeong et al. (US 2020/0185641 A1) Jin (US 2023/0106970 A1) Kwon et al. (US 2019/0165332 A1) Park (US 2023/0038559 A1) Son et al. (US 9,276,055 B1) Yeo (US 2018/0182838 A1).
