Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . This office action is in response to an amendment/argument submitted on 12/22/2025. The applicant amends claims 1, 12, 13, 19 and 20. The applicant cancels claim 15.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 1 – 14, 16, 17, 19, and 20 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention. The claims contain the feature of “scene role: the feature is identified as “current, “selected”, “first” and “second” without defining what the feature constitutes. In the drawings Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the feature is not defined. In the specification paragraph 0049, the feature of “current” is defined as industrial or agricultural. Therefore, it may be one or the other without defining a distinction as to how the two are distinguished. In the specification paragraph 0093, the features of “first” and “second” are identified as two setting but does not define the functional difference between the two. Therefore, one of ordinary skill in the art would not be able to know the functional difference in the operation of the movable platform.
Claims 1, 3, 10, and 18 – 20 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. The claims contain the feature “service form” without defining or identifying what the operations constitutes. Fig.4 and Fig.5 of the drawings show defined situations but does not define what operations are performed in the respective situations and the structure used to carry the situations. In the specification paragraph 0045, it discloses different situations that constitutes a service form; however, the paragraph does not identify what operations are performed that is distinctly different in the various situations. Therefore, one of ordinary skill in the art would not be able to know the functional difference in operation of a movable platform.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –

Response to Arguments
Applicant's arguments filed 12/22/2025 have been fully considered but they are not persuasive. With respect to applicant’s arguments regarding the section 112(b) rejections. The applicant has not shown through amendment or argument the definitions or scope of the features. The paragraphs cited 0052 and 0048 do not identify the scope of the roles or what the roles constitute. Therefore, one of ordinary skill in the art would not know what the purpose or objective or the roles are to achieve. While paragraph 0046 discusses an example of agricultural directed operations, but does not state that is the sole purpose of the first service form. The second example id directed to performance action and realize the performance, which does not define what the operation constitutes. Therefore, the rejection is maintained.
With respect to the section 102 rejections, the art of record discloses switching between different scene roles as cited in office action Col 7. The claims are broad in scope and the art of record discloses the feature. Therefore, the rejection is maintained.
