Claim Rejections: 35 U.S.C. 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) because it is anticipated by Smith (US 2017/0289809).
Regarding claim 1, Smith teaches a system comprising: a mobile device including an interconnected display, storage, processor and memory that stores instructions (Smith teaches a mobile device. See par. 70); a headless browser configured to execute on the mobile device (The mobile device executes a headless browser during execution of a native app at the mobile device. See par. 70; fig. 4, step 402), the instructions, when executed, perform a process including: sending an access credential to a remote server (The native app sends, via the headless browser, access credential data to a server hosting a website. See par 70; fig. 4, step 406); receiving web page data from the remote server (The system receives first web page data from the server. See par. 70; fig. 4, step 408); parsing the web page to identify user-specific data (The web page data is parsed to identify user-specific data. See par. 70; fig. 4, step 410); displaying the user specific data on the display of the mobile device in a native application (The native app displays the user-specific data in a graphical user interface of the native app. See par. 70; fig. 4, step 412); sending, via the headless browser, transaction data to the remote server to modify secure data based at least on a command (The system receives a user command. See par. 70; fig. 4, step 414. The headless browser sends transaction data to the server to modify secured data based on the user command. See par. 70; fig. 4, step 416); and receive a confirmation of the modification of the secure data (The headless browser receives a confirmation of the modification of the secured data. See par. 70; fig. 4, step 418).
