Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
1. Claim(s) 1-6 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a) as being anticipated by Park et al. (EP4142019).
As to claim 1, Park et al. discloses a battery pack (figure 2) comprising: a stacked body (120) in which a plurality of secondary batteries are stacked; a restraint member (400) that extends in a stacked direction of the stacked body along a first surface of the stacked body, and that restrains the plurality of secondary batteries; and a plurality of extrusion materials (210a,210b) that are disposed along a second surface of the stacked body in the stacked direction, and that support the stacked body, wherein each of the plurality of extrusion materials (210a,210b) is disposed such that an extrusion direction intersects the stacked direction.
As to claim 2, Park et al. discloses wherein the stacked body is joined with the restraint member (figure 2 number 400).
As to claim 3, Park et al. discloses wherein the stacked body is placed on the plurality of extrusion materials (figure 2 number 210a,210b).
As to claim 4, Park et al. discloses, wherein a plurality of the stacked body and a plurality of the restraint members are disposed in a direction that intersects the stacked direction, and the plurality of the restraint members are respectively disposed to face each other (figure 2 number 400,120).
As to claim 5, Park et al. discloses wherein at least one of the plurality of extrusion materials includes a fluid passage through which a heat medium passes, and the fluid passage extends in the extrusion direction (paragraph 0076).
As to claim 6, Park et al. discloses wherein the battery pack is configured to be mounted on a vehicle, and the battery pack is disposed such that a direction that intersects the stacked direction faces a longitudinal direction of the vehicle (paragraph 0003).
