DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-11 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Liska (EP 1956033 A1).
Regarding claims 1-11, Liska teaches a (meth)acrylamide compound (Synthesis Example 7) of the following formula:

Where R1 and R2 are hydrogens R3 is formula (1a), where X1 and X2 are each a methylene (linking) group and Y is a 6-carbon alicyclic structure. R3 is formed by linking a methylene group, a divalent alicyclic hydrocarbon group, and a methylene group, as per claim 9. The molecular weight of the above (meth)acrylamide compound is 254 g/mol.
Claims 1 and 12-15 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Klee (US 20090043008 A1).
Regarding claims 1, and 12-15, Klee teaches dental adhesive comprising a monomer composition which comprises (meth)acrylamide compounds which comprise a cyclic structure and a (meth)acrylamide group having the following structures:

And also comprises a polymerization initiator (claims 1 and 15).
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure:
Huchthausen (Reactivity of Acrylamides Causes Cytotoxicity and Activates Oxidative Stress Response) discusses acrylamide compounds and their effect in applications adhesives.
Antheunis (US 20120024697 A1) teaches a curable composition comprising isophorone diacrylamide, which is an acrylamide based on formula (1-3) of claim 3.
