Claims 1-5, 8-10, 15, 19-23, 26-28, 33, 37 and 47 are pending for examination. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 103 The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 103 which forms the basis for all obviousness rejections set forth in this Office action: A patent for a claimed invention may not be obtained, notwithstanding that the claimed invention is not identically disclosed as set forth in section 102 of this title, if the differences between the claimed invention and the prior art are such that the claimed invention as a whole would have been obvious before the effective filing date of the claimed invention to a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the claimed invention pertains. Patentability shall not be negated by the manner in which the invention was made. Claims 1-2, 4, 8-9, 19-20, 22, 26-27, 37 and 47 are rejected under AIA 35 U.S.C 103 as being unpatentable over YANG et al. (EP 4050949 A1) in view of Hwang et al. (US 20230224862). As of claim 1, YANG discloses paging processing method, comprising: determining, by a terminal device (YANG [Fig. 2] paging detection on a UE side), a first information field corresponding to the terminal device in first downlink control information (DCI) according to a first paging occasion number (YANG, para [0113] [Fig. 2] AtS201, the DCI carrying the first information field is received which corresponds to a first information field is determining by a terminal device), [0007]-[0008] UE that needs to monitor a PO (=paging occasion) or receive a paging message is determined. Downlink Control Information (DCI) carrying a first information field is sent to the UE, and correspondence between a value of the first information field and a paging detection parameter of the UE that the UE needs to monitor a PO associated with the DCI or receive a paging message scheduled by the DCI), wherein the first DCI comprises N1 information fields, and each information field corresponds to one or more paging occasions (YANG, para [0171] [0009] disclose a UE identity a number of POs for a PF, and a length of the first information field), the first paging occasion number is a number of paging occasion monitored by the terminal device among paging occasions corresponding to the N1 information fields, NI is a positive integer (YANG, [0099] i_s is used to indicate the index of the PO corresponds to first paging occasion number),and the paging occasion corresponding to the first information field comprises G1 sub-group, GI is a positive integer (YANG, para [0174] discloses the UEs in a PO (=paging occasion) be divided into N groups (=G1 sub-group), and it is indicated through the bitmap of the first information field which UE needs to monitor the PO (=paging occasion) associated with the DCI); according to a sub-group number corresponding to the terminal device, determining a first bit corresponding to the terminal device in the first information field, wherein the first bit is configured to indicate a paging status of the terminal device (YANG [0192] discloses if a bit value at a bit position in the first information field is 1, the paging detection parameter is that the UE with a paging detection parameter corresponding to the bit position monitors the PO associated with the DCI). YANG does not explicitly disclose sub-group number corresponding to the terminal device, However Hwang teaches according to a sub-group number corresponding to the terminal device (Hwang, para [0199] the fields of PEI DCI include a field providing information about a UE sub-group, a UE sub-group indication field.
