Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION This action is in response to Applicant’s submission dated February 26, 2025, in which Applicant amended claims 3, 6, 8-10, 13, 19, 25, 27, 35, 37-38, 41, and 54-56, and cancelled claims 2, 4-5, 7, 11-12, 14-18, 20-24, 26, 28-34, 36, 39-40, 42-45, and 48-53. Information Disclosure Statement The references contained in the IDS dated February 26, 2025 are made of record. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claims 1, 3, 25, 35, 41, 46, and 56 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Jones, et al., US 2020/0048249, which teaches the presently claimed compound for use in treating cancer in a subject harboring a PTPN11 mutation in an amount between 5 mg to 2 g per day through oral or intravenous administration. The references compounds exhibit the same activity as the compounds of the instant claims. Claim Objections Claims 6, 8-10, 13, 19, 27, 37-38, 47, and 54-55 are objected to as being dependent upon rejected independent claim 1, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claims and any intervening claims.
