CTNF 18/702,333 CTNF 79126 DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status 07-03-aia AIA 15-10-aia The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 103 07-20-aia AIA The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 103 which forms the basis for all obviousness rejections set forth in this Office action: A patent for a claimed invention may not be obtained, notwithstanding that the claimed invention is not identically disclosed as set forth in section 102, if the differences between the claimed invention and the prior art are such that the claimed invention as a whole would have been obvious before the effective filing date of the claimed invention to a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the claimed invention pertains. Patentability shall not be negated by the manner in which the invention was made. 07-21-aia AIA Claim (s) 1-2, 7-8 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 103 as being unpatentable over Fujii et al. (US 2018/0059649) in view of Kenzo (JP 2005301582) . Fujii et al. discloses a control system that controls a coupled simulation in which one simulation is constructed by combination of a plurality of simulators, the control system comprising: processing circuitry configured to: execute simulation in the plurality of simulators and acquires information including state variables in calculation processes in the simulators ( FIG. 1: The plurality of simulators includes the first simulator 300 and the second simulator 400. The first and second acquisition portions (103, 104) acquire the state variables from the first simulator and the second simulator ); manage a logical time for each of the simulators according to a causal relationship between the plurality of simulators, and instructs the wrapper unit to execute the simulation in each of the simulators by using the logical time ( paragraph [0007]: Multiple simulators execute simulation synchronously at a time interval ); control information exchange between the plurality of simulators according to the causal relationship between the plurality of simulators and acquires cooperation information, which is information exchanged between the simulators ( paragraph [0049]: The simulator linkage device controls simulation execution of the first simulator 300 and the second simulator 400 (especially data exchange and simulation time between the first simulator 300 and the second simulator 400) ). Fujii et al. however does not teach analyze presence or absence of an abnormality in the coupled simulation on a basis of the state variables in the calculation processes and the cooperation information. Kenzo et al. discloses a process management to predict in advance an abnormality based on the accumulation of obtained simulation results ( page 3, 5 th paragraph ). Therefore, it would have been obvious for one having ordinary skill in the art before the effective filing date of the claimed invention to modify Fujii’s process to include the determination of an abnormality based on the simulation results as disclosed by Kenzo et al. to efficiently execute the performance verification, failure detection, failure prediction and failure diagnosis ( Abstract ). Regarding to claim 2 : further comprising a presentation unit that visualizes wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to visualize at least one of the state variables in the calculation processes, the cooperation information, and an analysis result by the analysis unit, and presents the visualized one to a user (Fujii et al.: FIG. 1, element 102: Display Portion ) . Allowable Subject Matter 12-151-08 AIA 07-43 12-51-08 Claim s 3-6 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. Regarding to claim 3 : The primary reasons for the indication of the allowability of the claim is the inclusions therein, in combination as currently claimed, of the limitation that wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to a monitoring unit that monitors monitor a speed of the coupled simulation and identifies an execution hot spot, which is a most time-consuming part in the execution of the simulation, wherein the presentation unit extracts extract a cause of the execution hot spot and presents an improvement proposal is neither disclosed nor taught by the cited prior art of record, alone or in combination. Regarding to claim 4 : The primary reasons for the indication of the allowability of the claim is the inclusions therein, in combination as currently claimed, of the limitation that wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to in a case where an abnormality is detected, instruct to re-execute simulation for a simulator in which the abnormality has been detected and all simulators depending on the simulator in which the abnormality has been detected, and roll back the simulator in which the abnormality has been detected and all the simulators depending on the simulator in which the abnormality has been detected to any timing and re-executes the simulation in response to the instruction of re-execution is neither disclosed nor taught by the cited prior art of record, alone or in combination. Regarding to claim 5: The primary reasons for the indication of the allowability of the claim is the inclusions therein, in combination as currently claimed, of the limitation that wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to, in a case where a discontinuous singular point is detected in a locus of change of a state variable on a basis of the state variables in the calculation processes, and that the change of the state variable at the singular point is derived from information exchange of the coupled simulation on a basis of the cooperation information is detected, detect an abnormality having occurred in the coupled simulation at a generation timing of the singular point is neither disclosed nor taught by the cited prior art of record, alone or in combination. Regarding to claim 6: The primary reasons for the indication of the allowability of the claim is the inclusions therein, in combination as currently claimed, of the limitation that wherein a P2P type communication scheme is applied to communication between the plurality of simulators and communication between a wrapper unit and a second control unit, the wrapper unit executes simulation in the plurality of simulators and acquires information including state variables in calculation processes in the simulators and the second control unit controls information exchange between the plurality of simulators according to the causal relationship between the plurality of simulators and acquires cooperation information, which is information exchanged between the simulators is neither disclosed nor taught by the cited prior art of record, alone or in combination.
