Response to Argument
This action is in response to the communication filed on 07/09/2026. Applicant argues that prior art does not explicitly disclose the amended claims. Examiner respectfully disagrees because
Saito discloses to calculate a predicted transmission power associated with one or more future transmissions within a first time period (page 08; para 01; calculates transmission power in a state where data is not transmitted. Next, the transmission power when transmitting data is predicted based on the transmission power in the state where data is not transmitted and the data rate of communication – predicting power needed to transmitting data (in future time slot)); and
transmit, to a base station, an information regarding the predicted transmission power (page 08; para 01; page 10; para 02; page 14; last para; transmitting predicted transmission power info to the base station).
Saito does not explicitly disclose that transmission energy is based on the transmission power and to transmit energy report (TER) in the information.
In an analogous art, Yang discloses that transmission energy is based on the transmission power (page 04; para 02-03; page 09; last para -page 10; first para; page 15; las para; energy parameter comprising a power level - measured transmission energy is based on measured transmission power for previous time period and predicted is for the future time slot) and to transmit energy report (TER) in the information (page 04, para 02; page 09, last para; page 16; last para; UE transmits energy report to the base station).
Applicant further argues that prior art does not explicitly disclose “wherein the at least one quantity comprises at least one of a reported energy associated with a time period or an average transmission power associated with the time period, and wherein the at least one quantity indicates indicating”. Examiner disagrees because Saito discloses wherein the at least one quantity comprises at least one of a reported energy associated with a time period or an average transmission power associated with the time period (page 06; para 01; average transmission power for the transmission period).
The reasoning stated above also applies to other pending claims. Therefore, the rejection has been maintained.
