DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
1 The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 1-25 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
Claim 1 recites the limitations “X1 to X14, Y1 to X14”. There is insufficient antecedent basis for these limitations in the claim. Claim 1 recites a formula (1), that dose not include “X14”. Correction is required.
Claim 2 indefinites because the claim recites the limitations “wherein at least one of X1 to X2 Formula (A) and at least one of X3 and X4 Formula (A)”. The language of the claim is not clear. Does the applicant mean that at least one of X1 to X2 represents the claimed formula (A)? and at least one of X3 and X4 represents the claimed formula (A). Clarification or correction is required.
Claims 3 and 4 recite the limitations “wherein among the X1 to X4, the remainder where Formula (A) is not substituted are each independently a C6-30 aryl group”. The language of the claims is not clear. Clarification or correction is required.
Claim 6 recites the limitations “wherein the cage width of the protecting group”. There is insufficient antecedent basis for these limitations in the claim. Claim 1 does not recite “the cage width”. Correction is required.
Claims 5 and 7-25 dependent upon a rejected base claim. Therefore, claims 5 and 7-25
are rejected as well.
Allowable Subject Matter
2 Claims 1-25 would be allowable if the claims overcome the rejection under 112, second paragraph. The prior art of record (US 20200142301 A1) teaches a photosensitive resin composition comprising a colorant compound having the following formula:

See claim 5. However, the prior art of record (US’ 301 A1) does not teach or disclose a chromophore comprising a structure represented by the claimed formula (1), in which at least one of X1 to X4 represents the following claimed formula (A):

as claimed in claim 1, formula (A).
