(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 11-13 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Lei et al. (EPO. Pub. EP4044759).
Regarding claim 11 Lei disclose, a User Equipment (UE), comprising a processor read as: “the communication apparatus includes a processor” see para. 76, configured to: in a case that the UE receives an RRC Release message with a suspend configuration para. 122, “in S12, the base station 1 may send an RRC Release message to the terminal device”,
wherein the UE is capable of a UE-to-Network (U2N) remote UE, enter an RRC_INACTIVE state, and perform either or both of cell selection and relay selection para. 18, “the terminal device is in an RRC INACTIVE state. The auxiliary information includes information used by the terminal device to perform redirection and/or information used by the terminal device to perform cell reselection”.
Regarding claim 12 Lei disclose, a User Equipment (UE), comprising a processor read as: “the communication apparatus includes a processor” see para. 76, configured to: in a case that the UE receives an RRC Release message without a suspend configuration para. 187, “if the second network device determines to release the terminal device to the RRC idle state, the suspension configuration may not be carried in the RRC Release message”, wherein the UE is capable of a UE-to-Network (U2N) remote UE, enter an RRC_IDLE state, and perform either or both of cell selection and relay selection para. 193-194, “If determining that the RRC Release message does not include the suspension configuration, the terminal device determines to enter the RRC idle state… Alternatively, if the RRC Release message includes the information used by the terminal device to perform cell reselection, the terminal device may perform cell reselection based on the information used by the terminal device to perform cell reselection, to reselect another cell”.
Regarding claim 13 Lei disclose, a method performed by a User Equipment (UE), the method comprising: in a case that the UE receives an RRCRelease message with a suspend configuration para. 187, “the second network device determines to release the terminal device to the RRC INACTIVE state, the suspension configuration may be carried in the RRC Release message”, wherein the UE is capable of a UE-to-Network (U2N) remote UE, entering an RRC_INACTIVE state, and performing either or both of cell selection and relay selection para. 18, “the terminal device is in an RRC INACTIVE state… where the RRC Release message includes information used by the terminal device to perform redirection and/or information used by the terminal device to perform cell reselection”.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure: Tao et al. (U.S. Pub. 20220322193) which disclose(s) user equipment involved in neighbor cell measurement procedures.
