DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Priority
Acknowledgment is made of applicant’s claim for foreign priority under 35 U.S.C. 119 (a)-(d). The certified copy has been filed in parent Application No. CN202210183919.3, filed on 02/28/2022.
Information Disclosure Statement
The information disclosure statement (IDS) submitted on 06/19/2025 has been considered by the examiner.
Drawings
The drawings are objected to because the specification discusses a security gateway in at least Paragraph 0014 and the drawings discusses a gateway in Figure 1. Examiner suggests amending gateway in Figure 1 to security gateway. Further, the specification discusses a dispatching system in at least Paragraph 0018 and the drawings discusses a dispatching system in Figure 1. Examiner suggests amending dispatching system in Figure 1 to dispatching terminal. Corrected drawing sheets in compliance with 37 CFR 1.121(d) are required in reply to the Office action to avoid abandonment of the application. Any amended replacement drawing sheet should include all of the figures appearing on the immediate prior version of the sheet, even if only one figure is being amended. The figure or figure number of an amended drawing should not be labeled as “amended.” If a drawing figure is to be canceled, the appropriate figure must be removed from the replacement sheet, and where necessary, the remaining figures must be renumbered and appropriate changes made to the brief description of the several views of the drawings for consistency. Additional replacement sheets may be necessary to show the renumbering of the remaining figures. Each drawing sheet submitted after the filing date of an application must be labeled in the top margin as either “Replacement Sheet” or “New Sheet” pursuant to 37 CFR 1.121(d). If the changes are not accepted by the examiner, the applicant will be notified and informed of any required corrective action in the next Office action. The objection to the drawings will not be held in abeyance.
The drawings are objected to because Figure 3 is not legible; the text is not readable.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 1-10 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
Claim 1 recites the limitation " the management and control system " in line 4. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
Claims 2-10 depend from claim 1 and are therefore also rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b).
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1 and 5 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Zhao (CN 103386994 A) hereinafter Zhao.
Regarding claim 1, Zhao discloses:
an intelligent management and control system for rail transit operation safety, wherein the system, together with a train control system [see Paragraph 0051 - discusses an automatic train operation system (ATO) that includes control systems (traction, brake) and train unmanned system (DTO) that includes an emergency stop system], an operation and maintenance terminal [see Paragraph 0030 - discusses that a main module (MMS) has a maintenance management terminal (C-MMS)] and a passenger information system [see Paragraph 0051 – discusses the ATO comprises a passenger indicating system], monitors rail transit operation risks in real time [see Paragraph 0037 – discusses that the MMS monitors fault information], wherein the management and control system comprises
a main module [see Paragraph 0030 - discusses a main module (MMS)],
a terminal interface module [see Paragraph 0019 - discusses a terminal interface at L-ATS],
a security gateway [see Paragraph 0069 - discusses a security gateway of a data communication system (DCS), and see Figure 1 below - DCS is connected to the L-ATS (ATS) and (MMS)], and

an information release gateway [see Paragraph 0068 – discusses that the DCS is includes two security gateways, and see Figure 1 above - the ATO is connected to the ATS through the security gateway (the second security gateway)];
the main module is connected to the terminal interface module [see Figure 1 above - depicts the main module (MMS) connected with the L-ATS (ATS) via a DCS],
the security gateway [see Paragraph 0069 - discusses the security gateway of the data communication system (DCS), and see Figure 1 below - DCS is connected to the L-ATS (ATS) and (MMS) - the security gateway is connected to the ATS and MMS forming a connection between all],

and the information release gateway respectively [see Figure 1 below – depicts the DCS (includes first security gateway and second security gateway)];
the terminal interface module is connected to the operation and maintenance terminal [see Paragraph 0030 - discusses that the main module has a maintenance management terminal (C-MMS) - MMS is connected to the L-ATS through the DCS];
the security gateway is connected to the train control system [see Paragraph 0051 - discusses an automatic train operation system (ATO) that includes control systems (traction, brake) and train unmanned system (DTO) that includes an emergency stop system]; and
the information release gateway is connected to the terminal interface module and the passenger information system respectively [see Figure 1 below - the ATO is connected to the ATS through the security gateway (the second security gateway)].
Regarding claim 5, Zhao discloses the invention with respect to claim 1. Zhao further discloses wherein the security gateway, as a security interface between the main module and the train control system, is used to ensure secure information transmission [see Paragraph 0068 – discusses securing data through the security gateway].
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 2-4 and 6-10 would be allowable if rewritten to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action and to include all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
