Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, and 18 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by
Yu BR 122024021912.
Regarding claims 1, 11, 15, Yu teaches a first electronic device comprising:
a first transceiver;
a first memory storing at least one instruction; and
a first processor operatively connected to the first transceiver and the first memory, the first processor being configured to execute the at least one instruction to:
transmit, to at least one second electronic device, a non-high-efficiency (non-HE) announcement frame, and
transmit, to the at least one second electronic device, a downlink (DL) multi-user (MU) extension (Ext) physical layer protocol (PPDU) in a non-HE portion or a non-HE PPDU portion of a wake-up PPDU (a PPDU including the wake-up frame) (RPL is the combined transmit power at the receive antenna connector, over the PSRR PPDU bandwidth, during the non-HE portion of the HE PPDU preamble of the wake-up PPDU, averaged over all antennas used to receive the PPDU, [237]),
wherein the DL MU Ext PPDU includes: a non-HE PPDU and a HE PPDU in a non-HE portion or a non-HE PPDU portion of a wake-up PPDU (a PPDU including the wake-up frame) (RPL is the combined transmit power at the receive antenna connector, over the PSRR PPDU bandwidth, during the non-HE portion of the HE PPDU preamble of the wake-up PPDU, averaged over all antennas used to receive the PPDU, [237]).
Regarding claim 6, 12, 17, the first electronic device is an access point in a wireless communication system, (access adj1 point, [015]).
Regarding claim 7, 13, 18, the wireless communication system is an IEEE 802.11 system (802.11, [112]).
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, and 18, is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Park BR 122025001341.
Regarding claims 1, 11, 15,Park teaches a first electronic device comprising:
a first transceiver;
a first memory storing at least one instruction; and
a first processor operatively connected to the first transceiver and the first memory, the first processor being configured to execute the at least one instruction to:
transmit, to at least one second electronic device, a non-high-efficiency (non-HE) announcement frame (The variable related to subcarrier allocation for the HE-modulated field in the non-OFDMA HE PPDU may be set as a parameter related to tone allocation for the non-OFDMA HE PPDU, [299]) , and
transmit, to the at least one second electronic device, a downlink (DL) multi-user (MU) extension (Ext) physical layer protocol (PPDU),
wherein the DL MU Ext PPDU includes: a non-HE PPDU and a HE PPDU ((The variable related to subcarrier allocation for the HE-modulated field in the non-OFDMA HE PPDU may be set as a parameter related to tone allocation for the non-OFDMA HE PPDU, [299]).
Regarding claim 6, 12, 17, the first electronic device is an access point in a wireless communication system (access adj1 point, [009]).
Regarding claim 7, 13, 18, the wireless communication system is an IEEE 802.11 system (802.11, [054]).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 2-5, 8-10, 14, and 16 objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
