Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by US 2021/0135351 (“Son” or “S”).
1: S teaches an electronic device (that of fig 3) comprising: a housing (that of 510, 520, 530, 540, and 550) including a conductive portion (e.g. 510); a printed circuit board (560) inside the housing (as shown); and a conductive antenna member (the legs connecting 510 to the feeds F and grounds G) which is inside the housing (as shown) and electrically connects the printed circuit board to the housing (as shown, the Fs and Gs connect 510 to 560), the conductive antenna member comprising: a contact at which the conductive antenna member is secured to and electrically connected to the conductive portion of the housing (as shown, the legs of the Fs and Gs contact 510), and the contact comprising a curved portion (the inner wall of 510 is curved and the contact of the Gs match the curve of the inner wall).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 18-20 allowed.
Claims 2-17 objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
