DETAILED ACTION
Election/Restriction
Applicant’s election without traverse of claims 1-10, filed on 2/10/26, with respect to a restriction requirement of claims 1-20 is acknowledged. Therefore, claims 11-20 should cancel in the next response.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by the publication of TW 201906228 A [cited by applicant].
Regarding claim 1, the publication of TW 201906228 A discloses an antenna structure 100 disposed on a metal unit (abstract), the antenna structure comprising: a first slot 132 formed on the metal unit; a second slot 122 formed on the metal unit and located at one side of the first slot, wherein the second slot is configured to receive a signal feed 190; and a short-circuiting portion 160 extending across the first slot, wherein the short-circuiting portion is in a floating state and does not directly contact the first slot (fig1, abstract).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 2-10 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. The patents to Wu, Chu, Kanno, Kadambi and Bogner are cited as of interested and illustrated a similar structure to an antenna structure disposed on a metal unit.
