DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Examiner Note Examiner contacted Applicant representative discussing the content of the claims for speedy prosecution but no agreement has been reached. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. Claim 1-13 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor, or for pre-AIA the applicant regards as the invention. As per independent claims 1, the claim relates to “issuing a request command from the Bluetooth pointing device to the Bluetooth dongle; issuing a pairing command from the Bluetooth dongle to the Bluetooth pointing device in response to the request command, so that the Bluetooth pointing device is operated in a designated pairing mode; performing a random number process to generate a random number set by the Bluetooth dongle, and sending the random number set to the host; performing a conversion process to convert the random number set into a passkey value by the host, and displaying an operating image corresponding to the passkey value; performing an input operation on the Bluetooth pointing device by a user according to the operating image, so that an operating result is generated, wherein after the operating result is transmitted to the Bluetooth dongle, a termination command is issued to the Bluetooth dongle by the user in a predetermined manner; and the Bluetooth dongle and the Bluetooth pointing device performing a comparison process on the operating result to determine whether a pairing between the Bluetooth dongle and the Bluetooth pointing device is completed”. For example, claim 1 relates to performing a method by a wireless device for supporting positioning of the wireless device in the wireless communication network. However, there is no correlation between the steps of: a) performing a random number process to generate a random number set by the Bluetooth dongle, and sending the random number set to the host, and b) performing a conversion process to convert the random number set into a passkey value by the host, and displaying an operating image corresponding to the passkey value. c) performing an input operation on the Bluetooth pointing device by a user according to the operating image, so that an operating result is generated, wherein after the operating result is transmitted to the Bluetooth dongle, a termination command is issued to the Bluetooth dongle by the user in a predetermined manner Therefore, the intended limitations show no correlation between the steps because in step a) it only performs a random number process to generate a random number set by the Bluetooth dongle, and sending the random number set to the host. i.e., Step a) of the claim does not positively recite as a step of the method but instead considered to merely be an intended use. In addition, issuing a request command from the Bluetooth pointing device to the Bluetooth dongle; issuing a pairing command from the Bluetooth dongle to the Bluetooth pointing device in response to the request command, so that the Bluetooth pointing device is operated in a designated pairing mode but does not disclose clearly what steps are performed in order for the random number process to generate a random number set by the Bluetooth dongle. Further, the method of ‘causing to access’, ‘causing a negotiation’, and ‘causing a transfer’ may make use of the suitable connection information as claimed, but the actual origin of the suitable connection information (or how it is determined) is not recited as being within the scope of the claim. Then in Step b) performing a conversion process to convert the random number set into a passkey value by the host, and displaying an operating image corresponding to the passkey value and further in Step c) performing an input operation on the Bluetooth pointing device by a user according to the operating image, so that an operating result is generated, wherein after the operating result is transmitted to the Bluetooth dongle, a termination command is issued to the Bluetooth dongle by the user in a predetermined manner. There is no correlation between the step of a-c. Therefore, the above claim is not only vague but also unclear for one having ordinary skill in the art to understand the invention as a whole. Further, dependent claims do not overcome the deficiency of the independent claims. Allowable Subject Matter Claim 1-13 would be allowable if rewritten or amended to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action. Conclusion The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. Goh et al. Pub.
