Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 2-8, 10-16 and 18-20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims and if the claim objections are addressed.
A1
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1 ,9, and 17 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by Shafin et al US20250063577A1
Regrading claim 1, Shafin et al US20250063577A1 discloses A first access point (AP) in a wireless network, the first AP comprising: a memory; a processor coupled to the memory, the processor configured to: transmit, to a second AP, a first frame that requests multi-AP coordination (MAP) for peer-to-peer (P2P) communication amongst a plurality of stations (STAs) and includes information to coordinate allocation of resources for one or more STAs to use for the P2P communication; receive, from the second AP, a second frame that responds to the first frame; and advertise information on allocation of resources for the P2P communication to one or more STAs associated with the first AP (Fig. 10 and [0015] An aspect of the disclosure provides a first access point (AP) in a wireless network. The first AP comprises a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to cause receiving, from a first station (STA), an assistance request frame requesting that the first AP coordinates with a second AP to protect peer-to-peer (P2P) communication between the first STA and one or more second STAs. A first basic service set (BSS) corresponding to the first AP and a second BSS corresponding to the second AP partially overlap. The processor is configured to cause coordinating with the second AP to protect the P2P communication. The processor is configured to cause transmitting, to the first STA, an assistance response frame indicating an assistance provided by the second AP) (see also abstract).
Regrading claim 9, Shafin et alUS20250063577A1 discloses A first access point (AP) in a wireless network, the first AP comprising: a memory; a processor coupled to the memory, the processor configured to: receive, from a second AP, a first frame that requests multi-AP coordination (MAP) for peer-to-peer (P2P) communication amongst a plurality of stations (STAs) and includes information to coordinate allocation of resources for one or more STAs to use for the P2P communication; transmit, to the second AP, a second frame that responds to the first frame; and advertise information on allocation of resources for the P2P communication to one or more STAs associated with the first AP(Fig. 10 and [0015] An aspect of the disclosure provides a first access point (AP) in a wireless network. Regrading claim 17, Shafin et al US20250063577A1 discloses A computer-implemented method for multi-AP coordination (MAP) for peer-to-peer (P2P) communication at a first access point (AP) in a wireless network, the method comprising: transmitting, to a second AP, a first frame that requests MAP coordination for P2P communication amongst a plurality of stations (STAs) and includes information to coordinate allocation of resources for one or more STAs to use for the P2P communication; receiving, from the second AP, a second frame that responds to the first frame; and advertising information on allocation of resources for the P2P communication to one or more STAs associated with the first AP. (Fig. 10 and [0015] An aspect of the disclosure provides a first access point (AP) in a wireless network. The first AP comprises a memory and a processor coupled to the memory.
