CTNF 18/828,482 CTNF 89318 DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status 07-03-aia AIA 15-10-aia The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA. Priority 02-26 AIA Receipt is acknowledged of certified copies of papers required by 37 CFR 1.55. Information Disclosure Statement The Information Disclosure Statement filed on 03/17/2026, 11/04/2024, 09/09/2024 has been considered. An initialed copy of form 1449 is enclosed herewith. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 07-07-aia AIA 07-07 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – 07-12-aia AIA (a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention . 07-15 AIA Claim s 1, 2, 7, 11, 12, 17 and 21 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102( a)(1 ) as being anticipated by Li et al. (US 20230034607 A1) Re. claims 1, 11 and 21, Li discloses an electronic device (Fig. 2A-D) comprising: a first housing and a second housing configured for relative movement therebetween (folded state and unfolded state in Fig. 2A-D); a flexible display coupled to the first housing and the second housing (Fig. 2A-D and ¶. [0050]); a driving motor (104) configured to rotate a gear (301) to move one of the first housing and the second housing with respect to the other (¶. [0074]); and at least one processor (102) including processing circuitry, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: receive an input for moving the first housing with respect to the second housing (“ the controller 102 generates a movement vector and calculates a velocity vector according to the input of the user and controls the motor 104 to switch the foldable touch display 101 between an unfolded state and a folded state and vice versa ” ¶. [0065]), identify state information of a battery of the electronic device, and control an operation of the driving motor based on the state information of the battery (“ the controller instructs a battery to provide voltage to the motor when a user input for folding/unfolding the foldable display is detected by the controller and/or by the foldable touch display. The higher is the voltage provided to the motor, the faster is the movement of the gear shaft 302, which derives the foldable touch display to fold/unfold faster .” ¶. [0074]). Re. claims 2, 7, 12 and 17, Li discloses wherein the state information of the battery comprises a battery level equal to or lower than a specified level and the operation of the driving motor is controlled based on the battery level at speed lower than a specified speed or discontinuing the driving of the motor, based on identifying the state in which the battery level is equal to or lower than the specified level (“ the higher is the voltage [of the battery] provided to the motor, the faster is the movement of the gear shaft 302, which derives the foldable touch display to fold/unfold faster ”.) Allowable Subject Matter 12-151-08 AIA 07-43 12-51-08 Claim s 3- 6, 8-10, 13-16, 18-20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
